SEC tournament will start being huge for the Pope era. Since that’s the only tournament we will be participating in after this year.

And it doesn’t matter. My same issue with Calipari would just be revisited “only march matters”. No, the season every game all of the sht matters. “The list” matters. We are the top program in history you win at all times or you fire until the guy comes that does. This isn’t “pick it”, you don’t get to suck half of your career and get bailed out by a tournament every 10 years.

Whoever is the AD needs to go straight down to Florida with a major contract and bring Golden back to Lexington. Tell pope thanks for the effort but it’s not working out No more of this garbage we’ve had to watch. Time to bring UK back to the top of the sport. Pope can’t do it, he’s just not blue blood coaching material. Time to move on and get the best coach while you can.
For all you Dwayne Peevy haters, he was set to hire Jon Scheyer before Duke ever entered the picture. Powers that be had other plans and wanted Tony Stubblefield. Peevy knows the ins and outs of UK basketball. He was here with a finger on the pulse of the program before it all went to crap.

I love Boogie, he is one of my favorite players of all time. But i trust him about as far as I can throw him when it comes to the well being of UK basketball.
Cousins would be like Cal. He’d hire one of his people regardless of qualifications.
This has to be a joke. Calipari was in charge when the bottom started falling out of our basketball program.
Neither. Both are too loyal to their former players. When Gillispie was fired, Pitino said that UK should have hired John Pelphrey or Travis Ford.
Honestly he would be well suited for that role. If all he had to do was recruit and sell kids on the school/market he would crush it. It would all depend on if he could rebuild the relationships with boosters than he destroyed over the last half of his tenure here.
