Agree, absolutely horrendous game. He’s a really bad, and selfish, offensive player.
been saying that for weeks. of course the homers here say "Pike won't tolerate selfishness". Oh yeah ? Still don't see it ?

He was a 22% 3 point shooter going into tonight. He went 0-4 tonight.
The kid can score, but his shot selection is awful. Way out of control

McConnell needs to know when not to take a shot at this point in his career. If he finds himself open from the arc with more than 5 seconds left on the shot clock, there is almost certainly a better option. He also shouldn't be holding/dribbling the ball looking to go 1v1 on his man - our offense works best when we share the ball, not when you try to force into the teeth of the defense.

Just really really bad offensive decisions from him tonight.

and that epitomizes selfishness. crystal clear tonight. he "wanted his" and didn't give a crap about passing for better shots.

The mid range jumpers when he could’ve gone to the hoop were the worst thing — sometimes it was not the fact he took a shot, but what he did a moment before the shot.

Dude is just in his own head. When you play like tonight, it’s almost more mental than anything. He’s been short arming it almost all season. Might even be thinking about post-Rutgers career and trying too hard. He played looser as an underclassman.

The main shot that I think he is half decent at is his turnaround fadeaway from the post. Think he should try going back to that bread and butter, if he insists on taking shots.

Since the line has been moved back to its current distance, McConnell is 49/203 (.241) from the arc. Usually it's better in the 10-15 foot range, but not tonight. He needs to be limited to a maximum of 2 three point attempts per game.

He took 13 attempts tonight.... that's tied for 4th most in his Rutgers career.

What was 10x worse than the threes is possession where he goes one-on-one within first 5 seconds of possession and nobody else touches the ball. Mind numbing.

I don't know about worse - they're equally bad. At this point, I cringe as much when McConnell pulls the trigger as I do when Omoruyi does.

Disappointed in Caleb's decision making tonight. Paul extremely disappointing as well. He was reacting to Indiana's D instead of putting the pressure on them being the dominate aggressive force
