Struggling through the first 75% of the game on the offensive end, never once pouted, put his head down etc. Always back on defense fighting and hustling, and his O finally kicked in at the end and helped us win the game.

Gotta give credit for staying focused and playing tough. A couple other players on the team should take note.

Played great on both ends. I thought he took two shots that were bad other than that though he was everything we needed and more

Caleb literally had a Rockyesq game and he looked like him after the fight with the the bags under his eyes. I wish I had a screen shot to compare Caleb's face to Rocky after a fight. I have been down on him but he was a warrior tonight. Hopefully he found his stroke tonight.

Caleb was rock solid tonight.

Geo got it going and made his free throws down the stretch.

Give RHJ credit for making his free throws in the final minute, but he otherwise had a disappointing performance today and I didn’t like his body language at times. He’s in a bit of a funk.

His defense bothered Carr a lot and he made timely plays....the steal and dunk was huge....obviously the 3 was in rhythm but the 2 pointer near the Foul Line was key, made FTs....

In a game where Harper didn't get going, RU still wins because Caleb is a complete basketball player....I know it sounds silly but he does everything that you need on the court at multiple positions. If RU gets 5 years of play out of him, I'm fairly confident he can be one of the players that fans will ask, "when can we recruit another player like him"....

I would never put the type of pressure on a younger piece, but Jaden Jones has a similar game and versatility....you can see why RU was so lucky to land Caleb and how a player like Jones can hopefully dig in defensively, to continue that type of play.

Absolutely. Caleb is the jack of all trades. He and Mulcahy are the glue of this team.

Caleb's D is phenomenal. He is so long and get so many deflections and tips. Doesn't always get the credit for every steal either. He is also so versatile on switches. Always loved Caleb from the time he committed. Glad he is performing at this level

Caleb... In my book.. Defensive specialist. I counted Carr only scored 6 points when guarded by Caleb. Same thing for Chase from NW. AlwYs guards teams best players. Go RU!

Caleb look possessed for a stretch there, you could see how locked in and determined he was

Kudos to a great kid, had to be hard to sit with an injury and watch all his minutes be lost and fight to get them back. OP was right, he was so bad with his shot in the first half I was wondering if he needs glasses

He got my game ball. Dives on the court early in the 2nd half (as a teammate watched). Got the assignment on Carr.

he more than anyone gets credit for the turn around. He has been playing VERY hard defensively.

If I saw the play correctly, early in the 2nd half he dove and tipped a loose ball to a teammate while we were playing defense.

That was an incredible hustle play. A Pikiell play.

Caleb needs to start every game. This team plays with awful body language at times and looks like they don't care or are just standing around. Caleb is always a high energy guy and doesn't sulk after a bad play. The rest of the team feeds off it.

No one is mentioning the play where Minnesota had a clear fastbreak and Caleb somehow got back in there and either blocked the shot or just broke up the play I have to rewatch but again did it with no foul called just an unbelievable play

There’s no reason Caleb can’t become a consistent offensive threat. He’s had plenty of explosive offensive games throughout his time at RU - has a nice mid-range jumper and can create his own shot in space. He’s also the only natural 3 (with his length) on the roster who sees PT. Keep in mind that because of his versatility, the kid has been moved around on a daily basis throughout his RU career out of need (as a frosh, wasn’t he the only option at PG to spell Geo?). But this year he gets to play 3 consistently because he’s always the best choice there regardless of the combo (except for the few minutes when RHJ comes out and he has to slide to the 4).

Very good analysis. Agreed. And I do think he was playing alot of PG as a frosh.

I feel like Caleb's not entirely healthy either which makes him so easy to root for when he is diving and hustling all over the place.

Hopefully, next year he can be even stronger, being fully healthy will help his shot too.

Would be nice if the whole team had the same approach to the game as Geo, Caleb and Paul.

He was good most of the, but he played off his man just inside the arc 2 defensive series in a row, and allowed his man to shoot a wide open 3 pointer right in front of him. He was playing the drive. I was yelling at the TV both times to step out on him because he going to shoot. He didn't hear me. I was yelling at the TV to take him out if he isn't going to step out on his man above the circle. Geo did the exact same thing 2 possessions later. Pike did his first substitution after that. I'm guessing that somebody talked to him about it because it because it did not happen again.

That quick 9 point swing put them right back in the game after we had them down in the first half. This team is better off stepping out on the defenders to force them to drive than allowing them to get their sea legs from 3 point range. They at least have help on the drives and the shots are contested.
