It really sucks for me to say especially after saying the same thing about coby white last year but i really like his game. Feel like he’ll be there multiple years and will be really good down the road. Luckily we got a very good point guard in this class too. Love probably has a head start offensively but i think I’ve read where Roach is a very good defender. Should be interesting to see that battle over the next couple years if they stay.

Yeah Coby was a big fan of Duke but understood he was going to be the primary ball handler with jones.

I'm also curious to see what happens if Tre decides to stay again after this year. He is a fantastic point guard but hasnt shown a consistent improved shot which was his biggest flaw going into the draft last year.

The NBA has basically made it clear. Either have great length and athleticism or a great jump shot. Jones has neither at this time but soea have great insticts and knows how to play the game of basketball really well.

I think it could work to have Roach and Jones, sort of like Jones and Cook in 2015. Although, Jones and Cook were better shooters than Tre Jones, but it would be a nice luxury to have next season.

Tre’s mid-range has improved (something that’s lost in basketball). I would love if he came back for a 3rd year to go along with the players we have coming in next season

His mid range was good last year too. I even made a post saying I prefer a tre Jones mid range pull up jumper over rj attacking the rim for a last second shot.

The mid range jumper is dead in the NBA and it will not carry the young man into the NBA. His 3 has to fall with more consistency for him to move up draft boards.
