Matt Jones speculating now in the first segment. Says he doesn't want to start anything, but Cal and Texas have been quiet and he received a text message saying it was happening on Saturday night. He says no buzz in Lexington doesn't tell us anything, but believes Occam's Razor is in effect and the fact you don't hear anything means there's nothing there.

Certainly makes you wonder. Much easier to think it is a possibility after the season we had and fan displeasure.

Soooo, you're saying there's a chance?
In my best Dumb and Dumber voice.

Wish I knew how to post a gif.

So if you are Barnhart, he has to be prepared and have a short list every spring, just in case, right!!!?

Haha! That’s the primary reason I’ve said it’s a bad idea this season to make a change. Barnhart will not be prepared. It’s not just Barnhart, it’s trustees too. Get ready for an underwhelming, Indiana style hire if it takes place.

We are talking about Barnhart that hired Gillespie because of his one tournament run. I don’t trust him to make the hire by himself.
I remember reading that Mike Pratt helped get Cal to UK so maybe he can help with the process again.

It would be an opportune time to take the job. However, I really don't see how he could turn the reasoning into a good PR move. I don't think his ego would allow him to leave UK after the way the season has gone. That move would be a huge hit to his legacy.

Have you ever heard Cal discuss HIS legacy? Are you even paying attention?

from what I hear which is not much it could be Royal Ivey or Chris Beard. Cal's name not mentioned at all. He would be crazy to go there they don't like basketball. A friend of mine said it's basketball season and he said who cares we talk football down here 24/7/365 what is this basketball stuff you talk about. Said they would never pay much for a basketball coach but they would for a football coach
