Be consistent folks. If it's Cal's fault the team was terrible before, it's his work that has helped them look like a different team the last 3 games. You can't have it both ways. Some of you are being very hypocritical in this thread. Trying to give the fans credit is the most asinine take here. Who cares what fans say on a message board? Does anyone here think Cal is checking this board to see what plays to call? Do you think he based the offense today on fan suggestions? Ha! Let me get off the floor. Ha!

Regarding the original post here, it is very true that making shots suddenly makes the offense look pretty good. That has been this team's issue from day one. Gotta make open shots. It seems the team is feeling some confidence right now, and that's a big deal for these guys. Problem right now is they've dug themselves too big a hole. Have to win out to make postseason.

Said from the start.. Cal is not a great strategy coach.. but I think getting freshman into form is a far bigger task than we realize. I think he has to dumb things down for these young teams and the optics of it are "hes terrible". I think some of this, at least, is by design.

I think he uses the first 10-12 games to figure out how he wants the team to play and let’s them kinda do their own thing, then he shows them the results and they start listening to him more. Plus they have experience now. Usually we have 6-7 easy games and more time to practice. Our bad stretches have some close wins instead of so many loses and it works usually.I’m just happy they stuck together and didn’t give up and lose out. It could have easily happened a couple times this year.

The two keys winning this big today was Mintz 4 threes early and our interior defense cutting off their drivers. Johnson and Springer looked kind of lost not being able to shoot all those layups. Third key to me was going hard for every rebound and loose ball. To play that bad the second half and still win big hopefully they see what interior defense and getting 50/50 balls can do for you.

You are absolutely right. Jackson playing so well, I forgot he was a freshman. Was focused on Boston and Askew. Both struggled again today.
How did Askew struggle today? I thought he did better on D. He was 1 for 1 from 3 and 3 for 4 overall from the field. He had 4 assist and only 1 TO. He doesn't force things and I thought he played well today.

a different team today. I really enjoyed watching a team play inspired, confident ball

Boston is still to quick to pull the trigger though
