I will deal with whomever we get when it happens. I just hope I don't have to hear how this job ages you 7 years per year. I really don't see anyone wanting to come here when he talks that crap all the time. He don't do social media but he thinks all of us won't stand for anything but a championship or win by 20 everytime out. I won't miss that speech I have heard 1000 times a year. Other than that, I like what he does for the kids and the program. My rant for Game Day.

You calling Cal a dog?

I don't even want to think about it. I don't care what great names we come up with there is a 1000% chance that Mitch will get it wrong. People can go through the motions of believing that Mitch is a shrewd AD if they want to because things are going good at the moment but look at home many years of incompetent decision making that had to take place for us to reach this point. It literally took 20 years of Billy G's and Jokers for us to finally have a legitimate SEC group of coaches. There is basically no chance that Mitch will get the next hire correct.
It mainly matters that guys like Mike Pratt get it right.

My God he asked a simple question and you can't answere without a smart *** remark. I would say Billy D., maybe even Bruce Pearl.

I had read that when rupp turned 70 he was forced to retire by ky, is this true?

As for cals replacement, rest assured cal will play a big part in choosing his successor. His opinion will be more important than anyone including Barnhart. Cal has earned the right to chose his successor. Depending how long he’s here for I wouldn’t be suprised if cal wanted Payne to take over as the head coach. The question i have is would he be able to handle the pressure and demands of the job

Rupp was forced to retire at 70 because of Kentucky state law requirements during his time. That law no longer exists. UK is a state university so his job came under the state laws rules

Hopefully Calipari is here long enough that their will be a young up and comer not even on the map right now and this won't need to be a worry for quite awhile.

Cal will be here at least 10 more years in my opinion.

Few will be too old.

Stevens will never return to college basketball.

Donovan probably won't either.

Take those names off your list for now and forever.

I think it's fine to speculate and discuss possible successors to Cal even if it's not likely to happen anytime soon. It's just a conversation topic. You guys need to lighten up.
