I know he can't be fired. I just hope he will move on but if he is here another year, I will do my best to support him to turn this around. But, I hope he isn't here, to be honest. That isn't just a reaction to this game either.
Why? Seriously. Why. The wailing screeching zealots have made such asses of themselves that nobody that matters listens. They are jokes. There is no breech of contract. This year is an improvement over last. We had key injuries. Nobody in his management chain is going to say ****.

When a coach is paid millions, there is a basic expectation that the team will perform on the court. Coaches are fired all the time for poor performance. Cal won't be fired but his seat is hot. Giving Cal that BIG contract just looks stupid at this point. It is hard to put lipstick on a pig and say it looks good.

Ok, you are living in lala land. Not a single thing you said is actionable. Get real. What should or shouldn’t have been done is irrelevant. The contract exists. End of discussion. Grow up

He will get it figured out. He’s a smart dude with unlimited resources here.
He's toxic but to say he's smart ... no. He may be intelligent but that has absolutely nothing to do with being smart. With his attitude and performance of late enthusiasm for him and the program will change and the resources will begin to dry up. People will not support this ... Calipari will wish he left years ago. He will go and it will not be a good look ... sadly.

Are the people who are saying Cal will turn it around next year, the same ones who said he would turn it around this year? Cal may not have only won 9 games this season, but being unsuccessful is still being unsuccessful

No SEC Championship
No SEC Tournament Championship
First Round Loss as a 2 seed

The season was a failure by any reasonable standard.

What does it take. He has destroyed the program. Win or lose this is disgraceful
And you honestly think any other up and coming coach is going to come to this program after watching what happened to BCG? I certainly wouldn’t want to deal with this dumpster fire of a fan base.

What do you mean about BCG? He was a drunk lunatic. The hiring was the problem there, not the firing. Get real.

Bennet got beat by a 16 seed and won the next ncaa tournament.

Bennett didn't make the cash Cal does
Virginia made the NIT. I don’t think people realize how good we actually have it right now. Everybody expected Cal to turn around overnight from the one and done. He made the change to more grad transfers. Any other coach available right now would take a minimum of 4-5 years to build a competitive team at UK. This is what everybody wanted. If you people think this is bad wait until we have a coach that takes 4-5 years to maybe compete for a championship.

Hey Ellen, Erin or Megan. Your husband/father hasn't competed for a championship in 7 years.

You mean the drunks will be afraid to come here? Do you even know what happened to BCG and what he did here? I’ve seen some dumb **** posted tonight but your sure making a go at it for the title.

Top 5 at what? Excuses? Arrogance? Throwing players under the bus?

‘The reward for this season wasn't an NCAA tournament, but the reward was being in the next best 32 teams selected.’

This is a quote from Tony Bennett after their first NIT win. To think people wanted him only a couple of years ago.

Complain all you want, the man is not getting fired. Money is the driving force to everything. Nobody, no school, is going to pay the huge buy out money to make him go away and the buy out money the next coach, (I surely think would have) to get him away from whatever university he is coming from.

Speaking of money, no HC who’s ever appeared as himself on the Showtime series Billions, has ever won a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Cal is a modern day Dean Smith, all that talent and 1 damn championship. At least Smith won 2.
