The only kid I know of that had a vertical like Diallo displayed today was James White to not make the NBA. So if I was a betting man Diallo, He gone.

J.P tokato had a 43 plus vert and stock dropped every year he was in college. Why come back if you're a lock to b a first rounder or a lock to stick in the NBA. You never make up that money by coming back....EVER
Yeah, I’ll wait for official word instead of projections, especially from you. You’re the same guy who just last December said UK had a better chance not landing any of Diallo, Knox, and Bamba than landing all three of them.
Unless, of course, you actually do improve stock and make more money long term due to being drafted in the lottery or top 20 at a later point.

On the surface I agree with what you're saying but the problem is that if he were to return he comes back to a team that is built to improve his stock. That may seem like a weird statement at first but think about Briscoe the only way Briscoe would have improved his draft stock was if he proved he could run point or the 2 guard position but there was a more talented position at both of those last year. With Diallo I think at the worst he goes 25th next year and at best he goes 5th so he either makes 4 million a year or loses that first year at about 1 million and starts next year.

Here is the truth super strong draft a team can get a lottery caliber guy in the 20s and a high contributer in the second round. Your right most mocks are wrong especially when it comes to a media story like Diallo being a none and done so they infate his draft stock. Nobody has seen this kid play and nothing has happened since the kid was barely in this draft second round and only like 22 in the 18 draft but a high vertical measurement. Something that every body knew about is Diallo can jump.
The player with the highest vertical in the history of the Combine, Kenny Gregory, has never played in the NBA. Played in the D league and jumped from team to team overseas.

The deal is most people don't have person to person communication skills. They text or communicate on groups like this. A lot of this misuse/butchering is created by

Are you sure about that?? How about we review a few drafts from the past, like 2003-2008. That is the last 6 drafts that have had at least 8 years to be in the NBA making money. Let's look at some facts.
Picks 6-25 averaged completing 6 out of the next 8 years in the NBA
Picks 11-30 averaged less in in years 5-8 than picks 1-5 averaged in years 1-4
Picks 1-5 averaged 3 times the money over 8 years than picks 11-30
Picks 6-10 averaged almost twice the money over 8 years than picks 11-30
For their first 8 years in the league:
90% of picks 1-10 made more than 10 mil
62.5% of picks 11-30 made more than 10 mil
70% of picks 1-10 made more than 30 mil
22.5% of picks 11-30 made more than 30 mil
61.7% of picks 1-10 made more than 40 mil
12.5% of picks 11-30 made more than 40 mil
35% of picks 1-10 made more than 60 mil
<1% of picks 11-30 made more than 60 mil
What about years 5-8:
55% of picks 1-10 made more than 20 mil
18% of picks 11-30 made more than 20 mil
28% of picks 11-30 made more than 15 mil
41.7% of picks 11-30 made more than 10 mil
44% of picks 11-30 made more than 8 mil
The problem is whether your draft stock will improve by coming back. If Diallo goes in the 21-30 range this year, but would be a top 10 pick next year, he could cost himself millions over just 8 years. There is a greater chance he makes 60 mil over 8 years as a top 10 pick, than the chance he makes more than 30 mil going this year.
It has been said by some scouts that coming out this year would probably put him in the D-league for a year or two. That will limit his negotiations on his second contract, versus coming back, going in the top ten where the team is more interested in you working out, so they give you playing time in the NBA, and then when your second contract comes around, you have greater negotiating power. So the real question is, can he get into the top ten by coming back to school? I don't know.

There's a big difference in the two situations that fans like you don't get. Under Tubby and Billy we all knew we didn't have a shot at winning a title so we had no expectations of winning it. Which made it much easier every year when we were bounced out of the tournament.
With Cal we have the expectations to win it nearly every season and when it doesn't happen, especially with loaded rosters, we end up being extremely pissed off. It's all about expectations.
So now that we don't suck you have a right to be pissed if we don't win a title every year? Cal's record speaks for itself and fans like you are a joke. When Cal is gone unfortunately we will probably take a step back from the success we're enjoying right now. I'm smart enough to appreciate the job he's doing and not act like a spoiled brat.
