Guys like Wheeler and Oscar were hanging tough but are bench just doesn't have it.
Wasn't talking about the guys farther down the bench. Also think you may have missed point of my original post taking Cal's qoute out of context, though he did badly word it.

How many of you took the time to actually watch the post game press conference?

At 10:30, Calipari says:

“It just wouldn’t be fair to the kid. I just wish we had a bunch of practice times where I had two weeks with him where I could run three or four things and have him defensively play because he’s a terrific player.”

Now in the midst of the sunshine sucking ***** fest taking place here, you all are missing a key piece of information... and that is between the lines Sharpe will likely play this season and likely in another week or two.

See for yourself

Given Cal's penchant for just saying anything regardless of whether its the truth , it probably doesn't matter what he says anyways.

Cal has a credibility problem with the fans and the media. No one on this message board knows why he didn't put the kid in today and you won't know the truth listening to Cal

This is the dominant factor.

What? I’m not saying he sucks, I’m saying rankings and draft projections do not directly correlate to how much a player can contribute to a college team especially given barely any amount of prep time. Don’t be dishonest dude we’re having a good discussion
No, you're offering excuses to protect Cal who is only trying to protect Sharpe's draft mythology.

This isn't a discussion. It's circling the wagons on your part.

Bizarre quote and I’m going to just chalk that up as a poor choice of words.

I would like him to start practicing with the team and helping the guys in practice like people here kept saying he was doing. Apparently he’s not doing that yet either.

Here come the ignorant Calipari obsessed fans that are so damn embarrassing to our program. They gotta attack a thread to fit their stupid obsession. They ruin any other thread so why not destroy this one. Can’t even rationally admit that Cal made a mistake with his choice of words after the game. What’s hilarious is they don’t understand that they get made fun of by rival fans just as bad as our fans that think we should win every single ball game. They are on the exact same level. Bat **** crazy people.

Shorter Cal:

"F**k winning. I've got to protect Sharpe's draft mythology."
Plus Sharpe's handlers told Cal that he can't play him. They don't want their money. train hurt. Players that bring their leaches into the program, should be sent down the road, no matter how good they are.

I hope that is just a bad quote. If he helps us win then I’d think he’s ready. And for the record I don’t think you throw him in there either. But that’s an odd quote.

And hope your posting this is not meant
to stir up an already stirred hornets nest.

Cal didn't make a mistake. He revealed his true intentions.

Well, one of our mods and a well-respected poster started this thread and I think we can all acknowledge it was a really weird and poor choice of words.

These are the things that get fans upset.

I just don't think this quote helps things at all.

Makes things worse imo. If Sharpe playing helps you win, why wouldn't you play. Makes zero sense.
I agree. Too many sharks in the water.

No, not everyone on this thread will admit that. We got a handful of posters that would have argued like crazy if anyone else had started a thread like this.

That is coaching malpractice and it should be addressed. I’m all for the kids but your responsibility is to the University of Kentucky and winning basketball games here should come first and foremost.

SHUT UP CAL HATER EVERYBODY KNOWS A FRESHMAN HAS TO HAVE EXACTLY 24 PRACTICES OF 5 ON 5 BEFORE HE CAN EVEN PLAY ONE MINUTE ON THE COURT GAWD RABBLE RABBLE
It goes along with Cal can’t play you in the 2nd half if he didn’t play you in the first half 🙄

Just another reason he should be gone yesterday, I would donate to his buy out. I cannot stand Cal and nothing he can do will ever change my mind. I support the team and cannot stand the coach period. He is all about the kids and not for the University in any way, he can't be gone soon enough if he was gone today.

Idk about some of that lol. But thanks. I’m about to the point that I don’t care if he plays or not. My post was for the poor choice of words. Just struck me as odd.

Cal has been neutered in this whole Sharpe situation. He’s taking orders or fulfilling the agreement it took to get him here.
From the moment I heard that he was reclassifying, I knew it was only for the purpose of getting out of town without ever playing a single game during the 22/23 season.

He is probably just using UK's practices as a safe place to work on his game and to maintain conditioning.

That is literally the DUMBEST TWEET in the history of twitter.

He doesn't understand people being mad NOW, only IF he doesn't play next year? So people should wait to be mad until it's too late, right Rowland?

That makes ZERO sense, because it ASSUMES he is playing next year which is a YUGE assumption given his draft prospects.

And then he follows it up with a tweet trying to justify Sharpe NOT playing this year.

The handwriting is on the wall folks.

Looks like Rowland is running cover for Cal and Sharpe. Did he get any emails from UK Athletics today?

Technically you’re making a bigger assumption by saying he will never play, since all parties involved are saying he will play next year

At the absolute minimum I think you would have to at least understand why pretty much everyone has a hard time believing a projected top 10 pick is going to come back to college when he’s eligible for the draft. We’ve seen a lot of guys talk about coming back next year only to “change their mind” when it comes down to brass tacks.
