This year I agree. For four years, I greatly disagree. Anthony Epps wasn’t a speedster, or a great shooter, or a highly ranked player. He WAS a winner and he developed over time. He was tough and he was a team guy. He was exactly what that enormously talented team needed. Pitino tried to replace him in the lineup and it failed miserably. Askew could be the same in 2-3 years if he sticks with it. I’m not saying he will, but he could. Writing him completely off at this point is just not very bright.
Problem is how many Calipari recruits stick around for 3 years nowadays?

In the future he will let the fanbase personally select all recruits and sign them. We will also be consulted as to whether they should go pro or not after their first season in Lexington.
