You guys are a joke. Hate the op for whatever reason you want but his post was factual. Cal gets out coaches in atleast half of our big games and conference games every single year. If it weren’t for overpowering cupcakes early in the year he would be out coached 3/4ths of the time.

He won’t play zone when it’s obviously needed and then plays it tonight when it’s obviously not working. You can say it was because we were short on players but if he’d man up and make Vanderbilt play instead of sitting out for the draft then he wouldn’t have had to go zone. He brings every bit of this crap on himself.

Dude you should for real be banned.

You pathetic putz.Pity Tats are never beaten unless the officials side with the opponent. Yada, Yada, Yada. Heard it for the last 50 years.

God what a pathetic wretch you are

Your team got whipped from 3 point land, whipped on the glass, whipped from the floor and at the FT line. You even had the UT BENCH equal the ENTIRE Pity Tat team in the number of assists.

Take your excuses and blow 'em out your ***.[/QU
Do not evoke god into this. You are an azzhat and if you do not believe officiating had a hand in this then you are blinded by the orange glasses .I will make you a wager that Ky goes further in the ncaa tournament than Tn.

Not this year and you can carve that on a rock.Half way to 20 wins and that should be within reach. NCAA at large bid.
The satisfaction of proving EVERY pundit who said UT would finish with a 10 win total for the season and 13th place in the SEC is schadenfreude.

This is a very, very young UT team. 3 Sophs and 2 Jrs in the starting line up. Only senior is the # 2 PG, a grad student from Howard University. Thing is, they know that they are not supposed to win. None of them were rated above 3* by any ranking institution. None of Cal's 5* Commandos who play basketball for Ky and then head to the NBA..

So they work harder than their opponents. They don't have any depth and it cost them in their last minute losses to #1 Villanova, #11 North Carolina and in OT vs Arky..

Your bunch is SUPPOSED to win. They are the SEC's Royal team. Even the waterboy had a 5* ranking. But those rankings don't help you when the other team out hustles, out plays and out smarts you.

I will enjoy this game for maybe another 5 minutes and then pocket it and move on. One team tonight showed that it plays as a team. The other did not. The latter has some serious questions to be answered if they expect to be at their usual #1 Seed in March.
One team is relevant every 20 years the other is not .

Can we please stop making fun of these guys? Because we look pathetic doing it. They all seem to have Cal's number. Cal usually has more 5 stars on one team than these guys do combined but they still kick our tails.
They do have Cal's number but would you want them coaching UK? I vote NO.

We still have to play Auburn and West Virginia at their places, that's two more coaches that I don't like that gives Cal fits. I hope by then we are hitting on all cylinders because we need to beat both of those teams. Right now it doesn't look very encouraging, at Arkansas is looming too.

All 3 coaches you named UK plays early, and if you haven't noticed...freshmen take a little while to figure it out.

You just helped me make my point. Thanks. These goofballs should never beat UK with Cal on the bench and all these 5 stars at his disposal.

You turn over your roster each year and you’re supposed to beat everybody every time?

Go ask K why he loses to Lehigh and Mercer and Self why he loses to any team in Round 2?

No one qualifies for that standard.

Why can't so many on this board see Cal is not Nick Saban, a guy who recruits the best, but coaches and demands excellence. He deserves getting bashed when this team of all-stars puts up a pathetic, heartless performance.
Like Coach K for yesterday’s loss?

Can we please stop with this BS around here that, quite frankly, is a built in excuse for Cal because he's had some slippery years and bailed out because of a tournament run?

These games DO matter. There is almost no such thing as a meaningless game. The only game I've seen really was totally meaningless is the SEC title game. Playing a ranked UT team on their floor at this point in the season with our resume is A HUGE GAME. Completely not arguable.

And Cal definitely needs to turn it around. Coaches like Rick Barns and Steve Alford are eating his lunch and dinner.
And Coach K has been Mike Bray’s ***** at one point losing 6 out of 7 to him. It happens to the best of coaches.

Them grapes is awfully sour.

You don';t get it do you?

EVERY FRIGGING BODY was supposed to beat them. They went on the road and beat NC State. NC State knocked off # 3 Duke tonight.

Every win they put up is a humiliation to the team they beat because they weren't supposed to be able to compete with anyone decent.

That S/F of ours, Admiral Schofield is 6'4" tall. He kicked *** again tonight against much taller Puddy Tats. 9 rebounds, 20 points, 4 steals, 4 assists, and even 1 blocked shot. Not bad for a little fat kid hardly anybody wanted.

They have already won more games than they were thought capable of so I'm content. They will have everybody back next year as unlike Calipari's annual "Rent-a-Team" they don't have anyone that the NBA would be interested in.

They will be even better by then.
Vol fan talking smack about basketball, really? You guys will fold like a cheap suit like you always do.

Too bad the ugly orange doesn't care about other teams like they do UK. They get leads in games and lay down and roll over when do. Very predictable.

12-3 with this group is arguably his BEST coaching job. Unless your at least a college coach, and my guess is that you are not, your comments are far more frustration than solid fact. We really don't know what has transpired to cause a coach to make certain decisions...you and I may onlt know 5% of the whole story...clearly not anything close enough to be able to critique a guy who has done this for 30+ years. I also would not be so good with PJ out, one or two sick, and dealing with yet another game that I don't have Baker and Vanderbilt. Gabriel might have been his best shot at winning. Zone did work some, seemingly as well as their man-to-man, and there are some mitigating factors that forced us into a tougher situation than normal. During the first Gulf War, Desert Storm, I flew the night that we lost a valuable asset to that night's sorties flown against the Iraqis--an AC-130 gunship that provided infilading cannon and
machine gun fire on the enemy. When it went down, we had no one immediately to replace it. For a good while, we didn't know where they were...not good, but that happens in the fog of war. Our capability was degraded for a while. That asset was no longer there. We had to be flexible and do other things for a while. Same is true for Cal--one guy gets sick, one guy goes down, you must do other things to counter that. Not an excuse, but a fact, and when the line is a little thin to begin with, the outcome might not be how you want it. I think it's natural and good to be mad and frustrated, but we also have to be mindful that appearances are deceiving and that none of us have any qualifications close to Cal's. If it can be fixed, he'll do it.

Ignorant post. Just ignorant.
How is it ignorant brainiac ? Saban gets a boat load of 5* players and wins NC, he coaches and develops players, yes several freshmen play big roles, even at QB. Cal gets players to the NBA, but comes up short the majority of the time of the ultimate goal the National Championship, should have AT Least 3 by now !

Saban gets to keep those 5 stars for at least THREE years. Cal gets them for 9 months. Saban doesn't have to worry about his whole starting offense and defense leaving after the season. UK lost 93% percent of their offense from last season. Starting 5 kids who never played a college game in their until this year and they are 12-3.
Rupp coached at UK 40 years and won 5 titles. K has been at duke for 38 years I believe and won 5 titles and several 1st and 2nd round losses in the tourney. Dean Smith was at UNC over 30 years with all that talent and won 2 titles. They are hard to get.
This Is Cal's 9th year and it ain't over. If you are one who expects UK to win it every year, you are part of the problem, not Cal.
Imagine if Cal had got to keep Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe, Davis, MKG, Towns, Booker, Murray, Fox, Monk, Bam etc for THREE years.

This loss had nothing to do with coaching. Try foul trouble. The two guys that were winning this game ( Gabriel and PJ) ne fouls out with 12 minutes to go and the other gets hurt. PJ was shutting down there best player and taking him to,the woodshed. Once he and Gabriel went out so did our chances of winning. No one else really brought it last night. Knox couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last night. Officiating wasn't great, but also not the reason we lost.
