He gets there and doesn’t finish the deal. And he hasn’t even been getting there the last few years. Im sorry you’re so offended that I’m growing tired of Cal and his ways.
If you’re not happy with what we have with Cal then I bet you were a bundle of joy before he arrived. The past 8 years have been better than any other program not named Duke and that’s an undeniable fact. I suggest you go root for them but those early round NCAA losses might chap your *** a little also.

I guess this win is your Super Bowl like the previous two years. But enjoy this win because you'll be watching Kentucky in March like you usually do when the Vols are sitting at home.

Not this year and you can carve that on a rock.Half way to 20 wins and that should be within reach. NCAA at large bid.
The satisfaction of proving EVERY pundit who said UT would finish with a 10 win total for the season and 13th place in the SEC is schadenfreude.

This is a very, very young UT team. 3 Sophs and 2 Jrs in the starting line up. Only senior is the # 2 PG, a grad student from Howard University. Thing is, they know that they are not supposed to win. None of them were rated above 3* by any ranking institution. None of Cal's 5* Commandos who play basketball for Ky and then head to the NBA..

So they work harder than their opponents. They don't have any depth and it cost them in their last minute losses to #1 Villanova, #11 North Carolina and in OT vs Arky..

Your bunch is SUPPOSED to win. They are the SEC's Royal team. Even the waterboy had a 5* ranking. But those rankings don't help you when the other team out hustles, out plays and out smarts you.

I will enjoy this game for maybe another 5 minutes and then pocket it and move on. One team tonight showed that it plays as a team. The other did not. The latter has some serious questions to be answered if they expect to be at their usual #1 Seed in March.

His overall record is skewed severely by 3 seasons. Something like 115-6 in his 3 best years. Add up his record in all the other years and you’ll see he’s an average coach at best. If Cal doesn’t have a team loaded with nba players and all stars then he can’t win.

Look hick, Tennessee could win the season series every year and it would still take you 42 years to catch up. 153-69 suck it dumb orange fool.

So if TN is a very very young team with 3 SO and 2 JR, then UK must be very very very very young then with 5 FR starting.
We have 8 true FR and 3 true SO, with 2 FR and 1 SO out before the game started, and 1 FR cramped up in the 2nd half.
I believe if PJ doesn't cramp up we win.
So how many players does TN have that are hurt? If you say none then how did TN not have enough depth to beat the other teams you named.

For the fans complaining about what Cal should of done, he said in the post game interview that when PJ went down he had no one to guard Williams, a couple of players said that they could guard Williams and after he hit 2 or 3 that he had to try someone else on him. Also said that if we had PJ we win the game.

This is one of the reasons I hate when we loose. I get the trolls. They're just pathetic POS's. I hate the dumbass other team supporters who come on here chirping about "RESPECT MEEEEE!!! LOOK AT MEEEEE!!!" Congratulations. You caught us on a bad night. Now go win the conference, or tournament. Then do it more times than the rest of the schools combined. But you won't. You pissants usually loose the game after you beat us, if not several. You know why? because you shot your load! Look at SC. They were the kings of the conference last year. What are they this year? Your pissant programs come and go, WE STILL OWN YOU! You guys get good for a few years then its back to same ol same ol for 20 years. Well enjoy your meaningless win like IU did. So **** off.

You just have to give Tenn credit because they came out in the second half and took it to our guys and we didn't respond, especially after losing PJ. They just bullied and pushed our guys around. If we don't toughen up, the other teams will do the same on the road.

Why can't so many on this board see Cal is not Nick Saban, a guy who recruits the best, but coaches and demands excellence. He deserves getting bashed when this team of all-stars puts up a pathetic, heartless performance.

Football is a totally different game the bball. Talent wins out at a much higher clip in football. 22 different kids starting instead of 5 and two or three kids can make all the difference in the world on a bball court. Much more parity in basketball, and much easier to upset a team.

Hard to win on the road in the SEC. Home teams win at a much greater clip than they do in other P5 conferences most seasons. Refs must get caught up in the crowd more I guess.

Sick og watching obvious moves being missed...

Gabriel did not belong back in the game
Zone clearly not working
Don't give me your excuse

I don't want you hear fight and compete. He recruits the freshmen over and over. Means he has to coach better.
Thank God he coaches better than you string sentences together. My head hurts trying to read your butchering of the English language

He had Tai Wynyard on the bench with zero fouls. He's played adequate when subbing this season.
Tai was not available due to a back problem. Did you even watch the game ? I thought I was smelling something dead on the beach but it was this troll.

I don’t recall anybody making fun of Barnes or Alford for their coaching abilities. Or Crean either for that matter.

Would appreciate a resume when critiquing coaching in the future. It should fit nicely in one very short sentence so it shouldn't cause much effort.

I think where most of the whiners on here fail to realize is that sure these coaches normally beat us early in the year mainly because Calipari is teaching and coaching all new players while these guys have more seasoned players. What you need to really look at is who goes further in the tournament when it really counts. Calipari more times than not has his team playing better that all those who normally beat him earlier in the year. We was a rogue referee and a last second shot from another title last year. It's time to calm down.

Barnes has Cal's number so far in Knoxville, but Cal has kicked his *** in the 2 games at Rupp so far by an average of 17 points. Your post implies that Barnes is undefeated against Calipari since he's been at Tennessee. I really don't give a damn about Alford or Crean.

So whenever UK loses, Cal gets out coached? Seems to be the recurring theme on here. How about Knox, Hami and SGA going 4-20 FGA, 14 combined points? How about UT +7 on the boards? Bad break PJ cramps in the second half?

Can we please stop making fun of these guys? Because we look pathetic doing it. They all seem to have Cal's number. Cal usually has more 5 stars on one team than these guys do combined but they still kick our tails.
Wish we could get Tom Crean on our sidelines how dare Cal have 3 losses in 1 season?

I did! I begged for IU to keep Crean. he did wonders for that program. Same results as Cal...well not exactly. We as a fanbase have knee jerk reactions to any loss

It's not that simple.

He called garbage zones when we didn't need it. The point of UK running zone is situational. When you're down as much as we were and the "sit back" zone had already been eaten alive (they CAN'T run it properly) you've got problems as a coach if you can't switch out of that ****.

I think Cal allowed them to fall on their face. He's not stupid. A blind idiot could see we needed to force Tennessee into some quick shots and maybe a turnover at that point, Cal just, did nothing.

But anyway, I had to watch the game with about 10 drunk vol fans and I'm currently wearing a UT hoodie. And I usually make fun of stupid bets like this makes me feel all the worse.

****takes another shot.

There are things Cal should address and adjust. That zone wasn’t one of them. I would have heard that same ******** had Cal stayed man all night. We weren’t winning that game regardless.

Since other teams have adopted the one and done i just wish we would consistently sprinkle in 4 year guys like we had w hawkins and willis. Guys who are selfless about role but serve a purpose. The stability is nice to help the learning curve with the freshman.

Haven't people on these boards been telling Cal to quit being stubborn and start playing some man to man defense? Just refuses to play that mtm. WG, he didn't give us anything last night. I vote Beach Cat as the worse troll of the year so far

Huh?

Gabriel was playing well. Or are you complaining that he shouldn't have been in to foul out. Well that is a ignorant concept too. You want to maximize a player's minutes. We were in foul trouble with multiple players and another unable to take the court.

Zone wasn't working. But I think he was staying with it to try & keep Diallo to not foul out also.

Facts are not excuses.

You’re spot on. Those three guys going a combined 4-20, were not going to beat a good team on the road.
It was just a bad night for them.
