I like my analogy a lot more.

That being said, why would you go to the restaurant? I would stay home and look to cook (if you look hard you might see the idea that "cook" is symbolic of) on my own. Why would you want to live in a one restaurant town anyway? Is it, like a Casey's? Not a big fan of their pizza, but I know some are.

To be fair (to be fair, to be fair, to be fair), I'm not always a fan of Cal, but he knows a whole heck of a lot more about basketball and winning than I and about 99.99% of those on here do.
That’s such a bootlicker appeal to authority lemming way to think about things: “He knows more than I do, so I can’t be upset with anything he does.”

You don’t have to be smarter than Cal to consider his late game strategy that nearly blew a 28 point lead to be ineffective.

No, just the way I think about this particular issue. No need to call names. You never did address the holes in your analogy - nor did you let me know what restaurant is in your town, or even your thought's on Casey's pizza.

Look at the past without your blue glasses and you'll see many games that were a lot closer than should've been because of play not to lose philosophy. Or just keep bashing me because that's all you know. The word is myrmidon. Look it up.

I will say that this reminded me a lot of the Western KY game in the tourney in 2012. We had the game in hand and they ended it on like a 20-0 run (that happened, right?). No chance to lose, just a lack on concentration at the end. I recall we handed to Iowa State pretty strongly in the next game.

We just have bad offense for the most part
#9 offense in the countries that goes stretches every game just completely missing.

There’s two stretches in this game totaling to 11 minutes, where we were out scored 29-0.

Everyone can be happy we won and live in the moment if they want, but this is a concerning trend to me, and it’s something that will send us home in March if we do it.

Your offense can’t be on a milk carton missing for extended periods every game, it’s going to bite us more than once in the long run.

Im fine with the offense isn’t going to play great sometimes, but there’s a difference between not playing great and being nonexistent on the offensive end for 5-6 minute stretches in games.

3-4 minutes left and Cal swaps to his classic “play not to lose” stall ball and we end the game giving up a 16-0 run.

What more evidence does John Calipari need to know that stall ball is a terrible idea than having your lead collapse against Vanderbilt?

It’s something he’s done over the past decade that I’ve dreaded every single time he’s done it, and as I was typing this he just blamed his players for the way they played the last 5 minutes. Yeah I’m sure the players were passing up WIDE open 3’s after passing out of the press because the players hate scoring points and just really wanted to hold the ball for 30 seconds, I’m sure it’s the players.

This effects metrics, which then effects seeding. Not scoring and winning a game by 12 instead of 28, it lowers our offensive efficiency and a 28 point SEC road win is an eye opener when reviewing a resume.
Well what we don’t need is anymore proof that your a blooming idiot , we have plenty

Yep your correct
I’ve been sunshine pumping all season and I haven’t been in the farr Cal camp since April of last year.

This is a repeated behavior from Cal teams that drives me out of my ******* mind if you can’t tell.

Perhaps... you should take a break from UK basketball. You said it is not going to change, much like the hair in the soup at the restaurant in the still unnamed one-light town, in analogy that did not really work for me, so why not step back and find something else that doesn't raise your blood pressure as much? We'll let you know when we get another restaurant in town (and it might even be a Casey's!).

Cal even said talking to Jay Bilas that he was irritated about the last 3-5 minutes. The guys were pressured hard and didn’t perform to his liking.

Sparky sounds like those brilliant guys that used to set around the smokie Pool Rooms years back, never satisfied, just bitching like a bunch of old women. Maybe his problem is that hair got hung sideways after eating in that one hair diner. Lol.

Anyone catch the post game interview when Cal agrees with everyone here, saying he hated how the last five minutes were played? Pretty simple, the game was in hand, and human nature took over. Can still be used as a teaching moment even in a solid road win. Let's take it for what it is.
Yeah but there’s a difference between being mildly frustrated with how your bench responded to being in the game, which was how cal reacted, and absolutely unloading on the coach for playing bench players to begin with, it’s simply not realistic to believe that we will continue to play our starters when we’re up 30 at the end of games and right now our bench sucks so you might as well expect that they will give up big point leads it is what it is
