Why would I feel butthurt lol? Because we beat a terrible Auburn team by 2 points at home?

Kentucky is supposed to beat this team. Every time. So nah man, not butthurt at all.

6-13 on the year and John Calipari is still the same clown as he was when I made the comment you replied to. 6-13

6-13 man. We have won 6 games and lost 13 of them this season. We’re terrible.

Do you not see how you’re starting to act like an IU fan? Getting cocky even over a 2 point win over an 11-11 unranked Auburn team? At home? Really? Like we are to the point now where simply just winning a basketball game is cause for celebration because winning doesn’t happen often at all? That’s what IU fans do man! It’s sad honestly. This isn’t IU and we don’t celebrate simple victories over bad team. Yes, it’s good that we won but that’s about it...
Sounds like you are very butt hurt.

Honestly, the overblown reaction to the BLM stuff and kneeling is really wearing on me. I didn’t like it but that can’t be what defines a coach here. It’s 6-13 and a crap system that’s no fun and broken is the issue. I wish everyone would keep it to that.

What's the sample number for UK fans who want Cal gone? Maybe 60 on here? Out of how many across the world?

Yeah, you're in the minority, Frank.

100% of the people I know who are diehard UK fans agree the year has been shite, but 100% of the people I know who are diehard UK fans think anyone who wants Cal gone after this year has their head straight up their arse. I agree with that.

Also, for the genius that made those post-2015 stats as proof that we're going downhill under Cal, I'm still waiting for the individual year breakdown because, and I know you'll find this shocking, numbers tend to not tell the whole story sometimes when they're clumped together. I know, I know...shocking.

Oh, well.
I guess you must be "100% of the people you know."

Yes, we have went through a tough season this year and I do disagree with a couple of things Coach Cal does during game and also with One and Dones. That doesn't say that because of one year I am not going to support Coach Cal because he is the Head Coach that UK needs and Cal will bounce back this season and next. Some of you fans on here at RR just want to keep talking on your next new head coach at UK and I am going to tell when going through the Tubby and after Gillispie if it wasnt for Cal saying over and over that UK was his dream job who knows who UK would have ended up with back almost 12 years ago.

I know alot of Head Coaches both times like Jay Wright and others just like Wright that UK Fans were wanting at UK were all saying NO. They were happy at the School they were at like Wright at Villanova and we tried 2 or 3 times to get Billy Donovan and he said NO each time and he stayed at UF. There were some Head Coaches saying they didn't want to have to put up with the 1 year mediocre or bad year and all Fans wanting them out and having For Sale signs in there yard. That is why we finally ended up with Gillipsie after Tubby Smith quit.

Some of you fans do have your opinion on the kneeling, your opinion on Cal's x and o coaching, and his one and done and NBA push but Coach Cal is still Outstanding for UK Basketball in his 12th season and I hope he is here for another 8 or 9 years when he turns 70. Coach Cal will get this team and then Next year's team back to the ELITE 8 games or FINAL FOUR games, or National Championship games and then we won't have to hear or see most of you so-called fans when Cal gets back to winning quick and no one has nothing to say then. That will be nice once that starts to happen real fast with Coach Cal and winning at UK like he has done for 12 years. I forgot this year was an off year and the one other NIT year when Noel went down with season ending knee injury and we were playing good basketball before he went down and UK was 17-6 overall and 8-2 in the SEC.

The roster Cal built this year sucks. I think we can all agree to that. But I also think it may speak more to how bad college basketball is now than how bad of a coach Cal is. Being a farm system for the NBA has now reached the point that the entire sport...top to bottom....is suffering. When UK, Duke, UNCheat, Michigan State, and Kansas are all terrible.....something is very wrong with college bball.
As with many things, you often have to hit rock bottom before change is made. Take away Covid and I think we would still be seeing tv ratings down, slower ticket sales to games/tournaments, and a loss of revenue.
At some point....this garbage product has got to change or the fans will be gone for good.

One thing I see is that this entire crop of freshman suck compared to other years. Maybe the worst crop of freshmen ever and the teams that rely on 5 star youngsters are feeling it.

Sure. You would prefer the Billy G days.
Unlike you, I am less about a name and more about results. As long as a coach is legally assembling a winning team and representing the university first and not himself, that is good enough for me. I am not about a name.

And IU has not been relevant in college basketball since Knight left. When Knight was at IU they were the number one program in college basketball. So what has happened since? How do you know that will not happen to UK when Cal leaves?

Cats#1again do you think it’s alright for Cal to take shots at the fans?

I agree that the system Cal is using is no fun and broken. I believe everyone would have kept it to that, but.....

I would prefer to never know which way Cal or any of the players lean when it comes to politics. I didn't want to know. I've never wanted to know about any of them. They made sure we all know.

I doubt the local media or a portion of this fanbase would say people's reactions are overblown if Cal and the team came out with a video condemning abortion and wearing MAGA hats.

On top of all the political stuff by Cal and the team, Cal puts the worse team on the floor at UK in a 100 years and then proceeds to fire shots at the fans.
Not sure why some are confused as to why people are upset.

Ummm.....IU was not the #1 program in college basketball even when Knight was there. Especially The last 5-6 years or more of his time there, they were average to above average. No FF's, no titles, not much of anything.
He lost double digit games 5 of his last 6 years at IU. Lost 9 games his last year.

Knight won 5 national titles at IU so my statement is correct.

Branch Mccraken won the first 2. Also, are you comparing IU to UK? UK has already had its legendary coach (Rupp) and we’ve replaced 4 title winning coaches. Cal is a modern day Joe Hall. Why would the program die? IU died because it couldn’t replace its legendary coach. Same as UCLA.

So how do you know that we will not end up like IU and UCLA when Cal leaves. What makes us different?

Ill answer that:

UK has 3 titles since UCLA and Indiana combined for their last in ‘95 and ‘87.

UK has most all time wins.

UK has titles in 5 different decades by 5 different coaches.

Those are the 4 “biggest” differences...

Kentucky wasn't exactly tearing it up the final couple years of Tubby or the 2 subsequent seasons under Billy Clyde. Even turned down by one of the hottest coaches in the game at the time, Billy Donovan.
