trolls post and flame. plenty of fans are not posting now. but i am talking about bbn in general and don’t see how you could possibly surmise that. i’d say that a buyout narrative has not come through major media would more indicate that i am closer.
There's no way YOU have your finger on the pulse of BBN either. You're just guessing.

lol, I’d say 90% of the people I know that were diehard Kentucky fans rarely watch. They fed up with (either one or combination of many) the NBA first mentality, politics, one and done, talking to fans like they’re hill jacks. My son is 18 and will watch basketball, but only a couple are real diehards. The rest are kinda whatever. (And this isn’t limited to Kentucky fans. I’m in Louisville and know Louisville fans that feel the same way).

And I know my friends/family aren’t posting on this board.

you’re right i’m guessing. so where’s the souring boosters? the usual tell. where are the rumors? it’s more reasonable to assume people inside uk are not seeking to part ways, otherwise we’d hear things. maybe we will, but until we do i’m not buying that a majority of uk fans want cal gone.

there’s things in the world of basketball that hurt the game i came to love, and it turns me off too. my viewership has declined as well, but that’s across the board for sports in general as well and has a lot to do with culture. as far as majority or minority regarding cal i don’t see what’s funny or reveling about your post to the question at hand. i have 50+ relatives in kentucky, and the die hards (about a third) all have gripes but not one of them talk about moving cal. i’m not basing anything on that btw.

there seems to be yet no crystallized agenda one way or the other. you’re not seeing articles in the universities press etc. is my point. that regular fans don’t post like they use to here is something i agree with, and is another reason i don’t give a poll here much credence. there’s more reason to assume there is yet no agenda to part ways with cal, and therefore no majority. there would be rumblings of course. if there’s nothing else to go by that’s all you have.

Just because you don’t agree with the general consensus (despite overwhelming evidence and factual examples) doesn’t make it a fanatical position.
fanatical or not doesn’t give or not give credence. it probably does more than not as some indication. is not the point anyway. the how many are fanatics and how many aren’t is. my agenda here has been nothing more than asking people to take a step back and playing devils advocate to the flaming mob for some perspective. i’m not claiming the group i’m guessing to be a minority isn’t significant. you see you’re actually using my narrative back at me. only i’m not trying fanatically to get rid of cal. you fail to see there is already a narrative HERE about cal supporters being made to look stupid. so i don’t see how what you’re saying is significant. it’s the other way around, and has been the whole season.

Can you imagine the attendance at Rupp if there were no restrictions? The Hefty price on season tickets will not change but the expectations for the program have! I suspect even season ticket sales may plummet for the first time!

cal is not my favorite coach at uk. not even top 2. however you place a hof coach’s worst season ever in 2020-21, it’s like i need more evidence before i fire him. he needs to recruit different players that could stay. that’s all i got. and of course that means a down year every 2-3 years anyway. i admit i don’t see any great sum to firing him. people can take out what they don’t like about sports or college basketball on cal, but all those issues don’t just leave with him, it’d just make us less synonymous.

I’m here not to defend him for this season but I’m not ready to fire him either. He’s earned the right to fix it. I know he will turn it around and if you go back and read all my post (@FrankUnderwood) then you will know my reasons. I mentioned you Frank because you are always asking why why why and it’s the same answer every tim

Reality is even worse. A plethora of fans outside of this message board feel the same way. It hurts I know but it’s true.

That being said. 95% of this board was proudly and outwardly supportive of Cal up until this year. Myself and others who are displeased were called sunshine pumpers FOR Cal. I suppose 95% of this board is “fanatical”?

Fanatics? You post on this board too. Kentucky basketball is a hobby. This is a message board meant for discussion as long as you’re not an obvious troll who solely says stupid **** to get rises out of people. Just because you don’t agree with the general consensus (despite overwhelming evidence and factual examples) doesn’t make it a fanatical position.

Sorry brother, you don’t get to make the rules.

yes sir, proud member of the pumpers! I mean some of the criticism over the past 5 years was dumb and we said so. This year in indefensible. Only someone with an agenda would support this crap.

I just can’t believe that everything Cal did right for the first 10 years, he no longer does.

Why would I feel butthurt lol? Because we beat a terrible Auburn team by 2 points at home?

Kentucky is supposed to beat this team. Every time. So nah man, not butthurt at all.

6-13 on the year and John Calipari is still the same clown as he was when I made the comment you replied to. 6-13

6-13 man. We have won 6 games and lost 13 of them this season. We’re terrible.

Do you not see how you’re starting to act like an IU fan? Getting cocky even over a 2 point win over an 11-11 unranked Auburn team? At home? Really? Like we are to the point now where simply just winning a basketball game is cause for celebration because winning doesn’t happen often at all? That’s what IU fans do man! It’s sad honestly. This isn’t IU and we don’t celebrate simple victories over bad team. Yes, it’s good that we won but that’s about it...

... becoming a disgrace, has lost the fans, and he’s ruining the tradition of UK basketball.

It was a great run.
I will so enjoy watching the anti-Cal crowd suffer for years to come. I suggest you leave this site for your own mental health

Wrong. I will. We have no point guard, no one that can break down their man and get into the lane. 1st time since Cal’s been at UK that he hasn’t had one. Plus, he has some very soft, inexperienced players. This isn’t all on Cal.
This is all on Cal.... who do you think hand picked this team????

What's the sample number for UK fans who want Cal gone? Maybe 60 on here? Out of how many across the world?

Yeah, you're in the minority, Frank.

100% of the people I know who are diehard UK fans agree the year has been shite, but 100% of the people I know who are diehard UK fans think anyone who wants Cal gone after this year has their head straight up their arse. I agree with that.

Also, for the genius that made those post-2015 stats as proof that we're going downhill under Cal, I'm still waiting for the individual year breakdown because, and I know you'll find this shocking, numbers tend to not tell the whole story sometimes when they're clumped together. I know, I know...shocking.

Oh, well.
