I want this post to serve as an oasis of sanity in Coach John Calipari’s desert of foolishness. Let me begin by citing a range of examples from the public sphere. For starters, if I had my druthers, Coach Calipari would never have had the opportunity to rip off everyone and his brother. As it stands, the time is always right to do what is right. That’s why we must undoubtedly build a true community of spirit and purpose based on mutual respect and caring. The first step in that process is to realize that he’s a presumptuous storyteller. In fact, he’s worse than a presumptuous storyteller; he’s also a fusty, jealous moocher.

That being said. 95% of this board was proudly and outwardly supportive of Cal up until this year. Myself and others who are displeased were called sunshine pumpers FOR Cal. I suppose 95% of this board is “fanatical”?

Just because you don’t agree with the general consensus (despite overwhelming evidence and factual examples) doesn’t make it a fanatical position.

What would it take for you to say that Cal is no longer the right person for the job? I think almost everyone has at least some doubt as a result of this humiliating season, but you seem to be 100% committed to Cal. I’m not trying to be a jerk, but genuinely curious how bad it has to get before you stop defending Cal.
