Why is that a moron take? Everyone knows Cal's best attribute is his ability to recruit the best high school talent in the country and get it...because he has too! He is clearly not the best at that anymore.

If he wants to retain the same staff then he should just concede the top 1-10 and focus on the rest because it hurts signing potential players while waiting on the ones he can’t get anymore due to poor lead recruiting. Their message isn’t working, so either make a change in staff or give up going for the ones that they so aptly showed they cannot sign. They were supposedly in good shape with Barrett, Williams and Reddish but I’m not convinced UK even came in second for any of them.

They’re at a crossroads in recruiting and need to choose a new path. Some will rattle off class rankings but there is no doubt recruiting the top players has fallen off. In this system of annual turnover you have to get the best players or you need to target players that will stay two years at least. I’m not even ranting or mad, quite calm in fact. Not trying to rip Cal or coaches either, I just think we need to re-evaluate our approach.

Good attempt at making me repeat myself.

Cal doesn’t have balance in his life. He needs to get in shape, stop yelling and freaking out on the sidelines.

If he were a stock he would be trending downward. Overall, he needs to make some personal tweaks.

Would love to see Cal start getting the UMass players that made him. Lou Roe, Camby minus him taking $ and the guards he had were tough.

Gotta start keepin these kids for more than one year.

Really? I guess you don’t remember his UMass teams. They weren’t the best talent in the country. Or maybe consider the jobs he’s done with freshmen year after year. Nobody!! Develops players better than Cal. He’s taken teams to the final four and championship game that nobody gave a chance to reach the sweet 16. He’s proven himself to be much more than a recruiter. So don’t hand me that BS that all he’s good for is recruiting. Sit down, Shut up, and enjoy the ride.

People seem to forget what he did at UMASS and MEMPHIS. If he can get guys to come back, we can be just as effective if not more.

Duke fans were saying the same things when UK landed Wall, Cousins and co. It ebbs and it flows.
