You do realize Auburn also beat KU and UNC as well. They weren't some directional school. Also, UK beat them twice already. Hard to do that 3 times in a season.
Last year's tourney loss was much more frustrating.

They also beat those two teams with Okeke playing at a very high level. Okeke did not play against us. Not exactly the same team.

For me last year’s tourney loss wasn’t as frustrating. Even though it was a blown opportunity in terms of the way the field opened up, if we’re being honest we just did not have a very good team last year. I can’t get too upset over a team losing that wasn’t very good. That’s what not very good teams do, they lose.

When 90% of the talk has been duke all year, it matters. It’s exposure in a high traffic weekend.

It matters to 14-18 year olds watching. Being in the spotlight is what shapes perception of which programs are the “it” programs and “cool”. Which in turn, helps in continued recruiting success, thus wins.

Nobody here would legitimately say they’d prefer recruiting over playing this weekend, but they aren’t mutually exclusive.
That guy was just being an *******. Bunch of them on this board

Duke lost to Michigan State team without 3 of its players. The same team that got smoked by IU twice and lost to a pathetic Illinois team. Losses happen to teams that aren’t as good as you.

It’s understandable. I’m just starting to come around this week. All the other teams I have animosity towards being eliminated has helped me move on a little quicker this year.
Good point. You can at least watch without having to really be worried. There’s nobody left that I hate or even care that much about to be honest.

And that sucks for them, I don’t think I care quite as much about what happens to Duke as most do on this board though.

It’s not about Duke. It’s about you can’t look at UK’s losses in a vacuum.

Man, I get it. Upsets happen. But damn I’m a Kentucky fan and I’m passionate AF about this stuff. That’s what it’s all about. Kentucky fans care too much to just look at this and go, “oh well upsets happen!”

I get it, logical minds agree upsets happen. That doesn’t take my emotion of how bad it sucks out of it.

I get you are upset. Every UK fan is we aren’t still playing. If life was fair, Reid would still be playing. But sports, like life, isn’t fair.

I get it dude. I can't even express how much I despise losing. Just can't stomach the thoughts. Especially when it comes to UK basketball. I am not much fun to be around. But you have to appreciate the wins and good times much more and learn to let go of losses and bad times much quicker.
You have no control, so you can't let it overwhelm you.

I did turn on the final four show on CBS when it was coming on. Watched 30 seconds. Couldn’t do it.

I really wasn't happy to see Auburn in our bracket. I had a bad feeling about them. Turns out I was right...

We had a really easy bracket and we never played a higher seeded team. This one is on us. We lost because the Tigers (minus their star player) wanted it more.

Yeah, I’m bitter and upset at us choking.. therefore I’m done with college hoops until next season.

The reason UK is home is because UK plays slow down, force everything inside, or late in shot clock heave late in year. Pay attention. Why Cal does this? It worked in 2011. It did not in 2015, 2018 and 2019.

If someone told me at the start of the season that to get to the F4 UK would have to beat ACU, Wofford, Houston and Auburn?!?! And once there play VA and then the winner of TT/Sparty?!?! OMG I’d take that any time.
Who wouldn't?

4-32 from 3.....
Who goes 4-32?
Throw the ball inside to the most dominant big man in the country.

I'm just starting to get over 2010.

If expressing my opinion on someone’s post is pissing on a weekend, you must be a very miserable individual. Not to mention, I didn’t even tell the guy not to watch... just expressed my opinion as to why I’m not.

No need to open the thread and gripe about it to everyone enjoying themselves then. Does it make you feel better to piss on everyone else’s weekend?
