Cool, a 30 minute recruiting commercial on the day of the final four. I guess recruiting is more important to some of you anyway.
When 90% of the talk has been duke all year, it matters. It’s exposure in a high traffic weekend.

It matters to 14-18 year olds watching. Being in the spotlight is what shapes perception of which programs are the “it” programs and “cool”. Which in turn, helps in continued recruiting success, thus wins.

Nobody here would legitimately say they’d prefer recruiting over playing this weekend, but they aren’t mutually exclusive.

It’s understandable. I’m just starting to come around this week. All the other teams I have animosity towards being eliminated has helped me move on a little quicker this year.

I won’t come around as long as other teams are still playing. Probably more bitter today than I was the rest of the week.

I’ll probably come around sometime after the US Open.

Recruiting is important to all who care,,,,,,all coaches agree. Maybe, coaches could meet and divvy up like recess at school.:sunglasses:

And I guess some of you don't understand that recruiting is the first step of winning.

Oh believe me I get that much. I’d just rather be playing today than talking about our coach doing a recruiting commercial.

Yes I’m bitter today, not sorry.

We would all rather have Cal on the bench today, instead of on Gameday. However, if we have lemons, Cal is trying to make lemonade. If he can make an impression on a kid, we may not have to be in this situation, next year.

We’ll see.

I really wasn't happy to see Auburn in our bracket. I had a bad feeling about them. Turns out I was right...

Just because someone is enjoying Cal's appearance on a show doen't mean they would rather have that than to have UK in the FF........I should have known you would look at it like a negative.........maybe you should change your moniker to "negative Nelly"....

I will watch because I have $$ riding.
But I'll be flipping channels too.
What might have been....

Ha, whatever man I’m plenty positive all the time. I do however have more of a cynical eye than some I guess. Not everything is always sunshine and rainbows with me that’s definitely true.

I’m not watching. Don’t care.

But I DO care that Cal isn’t too bitter to on TV recruiting for future teams.

Also, I wish we were playing today, but after getting smashed in our first game and dropping conf opener to Alabama, I had tempered expectations to the end.

IF you are still depressed after UK's loss then you could use some real help........there are other people out there.....get out and live....a real life.........not one based on a bunch of young men winning or losing a game.

Brother, I have a fantastic real life. Great family, great kids, going to spend 8 days in Lanai, Hawaii in a couple weeks. I’m not depressed anywhere outside the context of college basketball, which is what this is about. In college basketball terms I’m bummed out. Will stay that way for a while. Anything outside the realm of college hoops and I’m happy as can be!

If someone told me at the start of the season that to get to the F4 UK would have to beat ACU, Wofford, Houston and Auburn?!?! And once there play VA and then the winner of TT/Sparty?!?! OMG I’d take that any time.

Exactly! Which is one of the reasons I’m so bummed out about it. Just a blown opportunity.

What? This loss will bother me for the rest of my life! Nothing is as fun and exciting as Kentucky making the Final Four.

Same here. Beating a team 3 times in the same season isn't easy at all. The NCAA screwed up the brackets for us and other teams as well. But, we SHOULD still have beaten Auburn. We shot horribly.

Do I wish UK was playing today? Absolutely. But life is too short to let it continue to bother me a week later. I’d rather Cal get some great TV time than have an hourly update on the state of Zion’s nutsack.
