The reason most of you are so upset it because there is truth in what he says. Most of you all have no actual experience in basketball other than being a fan. Your knowledge comes from what others tell you. Whether that be friends, media or so forth. No one takes what you say seriously aside from yourselves. No head coach is actually going to take and of your advice. There's a reason they are in their jobs and you aren't!
You don't say?

Winning does not come first to this man, it doesn’t come second or third either. Jeez, he would rather lose doing it his way than accepting advice and doing it that way.

LOL at that BS offensive coordinator for flipping basketball that he leaked to Kyle Tucker. As if he would accept that persons advice even if he were real and not a made up position.

Just dumb. He squandered a great opportunity to reach out to the fans and instead talked smack. Does nothing to get folks back on board after a great and unexpected road win. Also sets him up for backlash if and when they collapse again. Too bad. He’s as bad on social as the rest of us.
Cal doesn't care about those of us with basketball knowledge that holds him accountable for his STUBBORNNESS, only the LEMMINGS that write him LOVE letters praising EVERYTHING he does!!

If you listen to his Postgame and coaches shows the last 2 weeks, he makes it a point to mention how many letters of support he has received this season.

NO DOUBT he does this as a COUNTER to all of us that have called him out on his INCOMPETENCE. He's making $9 million/year and has to talk down to fans that want MORE than a road win at a team that has a LOSING record in the SEC!!!

@UKBB4Ever Cal talking down to the fans again

Also note that Cal basically just admitted he has people reading this forum.
I think he basically admitted to listening to Toppin, but that may not be enough to feed the fragile egos on this board. You consider this talking down to fans. Bless your heart . Runnin Richie is the fasted one on here to take credit for a win that he put together, planned, practiced for and executed without leaving his keyboard.

Saying I know there’s people who has never coached or played is talking down to them. What’s funny is he is right is that there are people who have never coached or played but still realize at times we should be doing something different than we are, yet he thinks the status quo is good. When people who have never done what someone has done most of their adult life see things you don’t talking down to them makes you an even bigger *** than you are. Actually just an incompetent ***.

Of course it’s always good to see UK win games. Arguably we should win more of them. But then there’s the added benefit of watching the miserable posters on this board bend over backwards to continue being miserable…. And that makes me happier.

Meanwhile, our defense was a big reason we won yesterday (not due to handful of times they ran zone), and that makes it even funnier.
I’ve never in my life seen a real fan say they like watching their team lose ball games so that other fans would be miserable about it. Thanks for admitting you’re a troll

Obviously, there are a lot of thin-skinned people on this board.

There is a reason they lose their jobs and Cal should have been gone a long time ago.

I just don’t listen to him. He’s like a pro wrestler with catch phrases. He never says anything new.

I think he does throw barbs at the fans to intentionally rile the ones who get riled. It doesn’t bother me. This is the best and worst fanbase in college basketball simultaneously and has been for decades.

No you literally didn’t. You said we should win more games but theirs an added benefit in seeing people get mad over losses and you enjoy that more.

It’s “there” not “their”. I disagree with what you’re saying. There’s a whole bunch of miserable people on this board who feel validated when UK loses. I get joy in circumstances like this when UK wins. 1) We win. 2) Miserable people have to jump through hoops to be miserable. No apologies.

Idgaf about how I spell a word, you said what you said. You try to act like you’re cool on this board but you sound like a moron.

You believe he made that comment to get under the skin of anonymous posters? If so, he needs to grow up.
Replace the word “posters” with “fans” and yes absolutely he did. Mission accomplished too because y’all are triggered by it. A lot of our fans love to hate cal more than they love the cats.

He’s prideful and spiteful. In my book if you win then you can talk ****.

Lol. He just can’t help himself by sliding in little digs at the fans. Such an asshat. There was absolutely no reason to say it. Having said that, he has mentioned numerous times how great the fans have been and how home crowds have carried the team to victory. But it is sheer stupidity to make those comments and continues to do so. Just win games Cal and keep your piehole shut.

Sounds like Cal is the one that's "triggered".

He LOVES to crow when we win, even when it's against an 8-10 SEC team. But when we LOSE to another mediocre team, it's "I'm tired and want to go home". So, to heck with those SAME fans that write Cal LOVE letters when we LOSE, he doesn't have time for them.

Making it a POINT that it was a PLAYER that WANTED to play Zone instead of him JUST because the fans AND media have questioned WHY he wouldn't play one, is DEFINITELY someone that is "TRIGGERED".

Quite a few who claim to not listen or care about what cal says sure like to nit pick and dissect what he does say.

While I often wonder why he says some things and roll my eyes at others, I just don’t subscribe to the theory that he’s intentionally messaging his detractors at every turn.

Why post/discuss this type of thing if it’s just going to get you worked up? We win a game most gave us no chance of winning, and this is what we’re discussing?

The thing is, he has always been this way, said these things. But it wasn’t a problem until 9-16.

Do yourself a favor, when the game ends find something else to do. Otherwise you’re the guy watching the the post game just looking for something to be pissed about. Because you know you will be pissed.

9-16. Lost to 15 seed.
This up and down season….

And yet after every good moment (that has followed a game or stretch of frustrating coaching/play) he has to take a shot at the fans.

This has been the hardest team to get behind and a big part has been his coaching.
I will watch as this team could make a run, but I’m expecting an early out…hope they/he surprise me.
