No matter how you cut it, you don't make this choice two hours before the UK game.

Totally disrespectful to Calipari to make the choice tonight.

He could have decided tomorrow, yesterday, a week from now.

He chose two hours before UK's opening game, against the #1 team in the country.

Nothing ever added up about the Cunningham/UK talk.

Devin Askew committed to UK and will be moving up to 2020. He's going to be our point guard next year. Why the hell would he commit if Cade Cunningham was coming? Askew/Cunningham/Boston/Clarke as your backcourt? Made no sense. Top 10 talents coming to ride the bench? Yeah, okay. We made our play, Cade blew smoke up our *** and the "insiders" ate it up, but he's been an OSU lock from the day his brother joined their staff.

Exactly, but they'll be some clown on here trying to say he didn't use UK to add suspense to his recruitment.

It's a stepping stone to the NBA is all it is for a kid with his talent. To him it's not that important where he goes.

Be adults and don't start bashing on the kid or his recruitment. He went with his family over a national stage. His choice. He did not use UK for flair, that's just sour grapes.
His Father asking Cal to fly down for “another” meeting and Cal canceled a fund raiser to do so and this kid and his father knew all along he was going to the same school that hired his brother!

If that's not a flair for the dramatic I don't know what is.

Screw him and the Cowboys!

Most do. But if he didn't, then he's disrespectful but for an entirely different reason than stating HIS decision before a UK game.

My point is that if he didn't tell Calipari, the UK staff will be somewhat distracted and disappointed tonight. Which would mean picking OSU before the UK game and placing the staff in a distracted/disappointed mindset is BS.

If this scenario is true, you're assuming CC is incapable of knowing the reality of how it would make the UK staff feel tonight. I don't think he's that naive and oblivious to the propriety that comes with basic human relationships.

That said, if he told Calipari before this, I have no beef with the kid.

He didn't just make this decision today/tonight out of nowhere. It's probably been planned for tonight for a while would be my guess.

Where are all the DK cronies ? Be funny to see how he spins this one. He flat out said "Done Deal to UK", no maybe, possibly, things could change. Done Deal. He said we will have a down time and look like things are changing, but he said it was done. LOL, people hang on every word that guy says. Can't wait to read the spin job. But, after this one, he may never post again. It would probably be a good thing for his groupies, they are loyal to the bone and almost unhealthy with his fake insider BS.

Well at least he didn’t go to another big time program, and we already have commitments from 2 5 star guards. It’s another big I’m worried about. Won’t be surprised if we get another 5th year transfer.

Be adults? The kid waits and announces right before our big game. It’s a POS move for a POS kid. Screw Cade. He absolutely used UK. So much for all that never being another hat on the table crap Cal spewed.

I'd have to imagine he knew this was coming. I don't think a lot of these coaches are waiting around for the official announcement......they know beforehand.

The crucial domino is taken out, though. Might be a factor in the Brown recruitment as well.

It's not the end of the world obviously, but it's pretty big.

That said, Calipari did literally all he could do. I was proud of his efforts on this one. Cade just cucked out at the finish line.

What a waste of time! You just can't believe these kids for anything. I am completely open LMFAO. Oh well, he is going to Siberia which is the next best option. I know they wouldn't, but dam I wish they would be our dancing partner for next year's Big 12/SEC Challenge. How sweet would that be? All that, Cal fly down and see me and he is classless with a BS troll job on our big night. I hope they lose wed. when he visits.

What a puss! Maybe his brother will hold him at night after they pull a Trae Young and OK and lose 10 straight. Let's see who he pulls there with him. On to the next one! UK just isn't for him.

I am no hater but this is 2 recent calls that DK has missed. Jaden McDaniels and he said about this one, "he's ours" Isn't DK from Marc Maggard's crew?

He said "blood is thicker than water."

What an absolute sh*t show.

That statement is why I have a hard time believing this kid wasn’t just looking for attention. I honestly had little hope of landing him once OSU hired his brother. But, why bother publicly saying his brother’s situation wouldn’t affect his recruitment & that every school had a shot if the deciding factor all along was “blood will always be thicker than water”? So, he denies that sentiment only to turn around & commit to his brother a month later using that quote as a specific reason (disclaimer...I didn’t watch the announcement so I’m assuming that was his reason for picking OSU based on a few ppl quoting him). And, then to announce right before our season opener against the #1 team in the country? Come on. Quite tasteless IMO, kid or not.

That’s why I mentioned the 5th year transfer. Little disappointed in some posters. Predicting what these kids will do is, well unpredictable. I trust in the 4 we have, but I don’t totally believe it until a guy signs.

Cunningham can go **** himself. I never mind if a recruit doesn’t choose us but to do it at this time screams “look at me I’m bigger than kentucky”. For that, I hope he loses every game and flames out of the NBA blowing all money he made before he is 30. I hope his brother gets fired the day OK State loses in the tournament.

Sometimes that's true.

It wasn't true in the case of Jones, Teague, Knox, etc.

Cade's kept things pretty close to his circle. Even if Cal did know, it's pretty strange to choose OSU two hours before Calipari coaches the premier game of the early season.

Tonight was not the appropriate time to announce.

Him knowing UK fans and the players being invested in him at least through social media and pulling this out of the blue (Planned) the night of the Champions Classic #1 vs #2 is about the biggest punk troll job ever. Funny thing is, in the end, the troll job will be on himself and a miserable year in Stillwater. F him! We got a big game tonight and we got Askew, Boston and Clarke and we aren't done.
