We don't have an NIL problem we have a coaching problem. We have the money to get the right people in the right position. Look at the money Tenn and Texas has put into NIL and it took extra time to beat our sorry asses. Think of all the money the SEC team spends on players and the only teams the SEC can beat in the playoff is G5 and other SEC teams. The entire SEC has a coaching problem right now. Even Smart is making rookie mistakes that cost him his playoff game. There is a issue in the SEC. It's not going to change until they get better coaches.

We have a fairly significant NIL war chest.

We just don't spend wisely and/or have bad luck with injuries i.e. Steen and Whitson this year.

Kirby has never been a great coach when he guest just out-talent to other team. See his record vs Alabama. And he had the better team in several of those losses. SEC big problem is they’ve gotten away from being a physical league. And yeah, that gets back to coaching & recruiting.

I have to disagree about Kirby, he has had Georgia close to the top every year he has been in Athens. As far as him not beating Bama, Saban may be the Goat.
Btw, I am not a big Kirby fan, but I would take him in a heartbeat at Msu, LOL!

Isn't that pretty much what we've done the last 3 seasons, "tanked", and struggling to sign a postal class particularly OL? And struggling to keep donors donating?
Is it tanking when you take UT and UT to OT and beat Florida in a season?
It isn't something to brag about, but it also isn't tanking.

It's the opposite of tanking, actually. It's trying really hard and almost winning some big games.

The desire in much of our fanbase to advertise our supposed poorness to anyone who will listen is a strange thing.

Is there any other fanbase in the country who constantly talks about how poor they are?

We are a long way from being good but we are very close to being respectable. But we’re not far off from being a laughing stock either. Do or die year for Lebby this year.
