C-USA bans championships in MS...

[8dog]

8 of the last 10 cusa baseball tourneys have been in MS. More tangible economic harm. Was headed for Pete Taylor in 2022

Ouch. At some point, Mississippi has to stop choosing poverty. Rather it's HB1523 or the confederate flag, we can't be this bad at 21-Centuring.

This is the fattest hanging curveball in the history of Mississippi politics. The choice is obvious. Swing the bat, Tater!!

Nobody is better at shooting their own self in the foot than Mississippi. Hell, I think a lot of us actually enjoy it and take pride in it.

The ironic thing is that Rodney Bennett took down the state flag from campus about 4 years ago. The City of Hattiesburg hasn't flown it in years. The most prominent places you "officially" see it displayed in town are on Forrest County property.

You are right, there is really no choice. Tell the people that if they want their checks each month, we have to change it. That should get about half of them off his ***.

I would like to think that most Mississippians are behind changing the flag at this point. I’ve seen some very conservative Republicans voice support for changing the flag, even. Change it because it’s the right thing to do. An added bonus is that it’ll boost perception of our state nationally. Also, from the sports perspective, postseason baseball is the one event that the big 3 host regularly. Get it done, now!
