Federer's time is close to being over. After making the semis of 23 straight slams, he's now missed the semis in 2 straight.

Their careers have paralleled so much, and now both have shown signs of being on the downhill side of their primes. I guess even a GOAT can lose motivation once he gets comfortable financially, has kids, etc.

I'd bet on Tiger to get his motivation back. Fed, not so much. He may have one more in him for New York this year, but I don't see him stretching it out much past 15 slams.

On a side note, today proves yet again why I go to the Regions-St. Jude in Memphis every year... We watched the guy who beat Fed (Berdych) play, along with Isner, Querry, Roddick and others doing well at Wimbledon. Oh, and Petra Kvitova, who's still in it on the womens side.

Elin's about to get a record $750,000,000 divorce settlement. Also, Tiger can't have any unmarried women around the children. My bet is Tiger wins a few more majors. He still doesn't have the record. Federer does. And you can play golf a lot longer than you can tennis. At 28, Federer would be near the end even if he still did have the motivation he did before.

"You catch that game last night?"
"Which game?"
"You know -- the national championship game... in that sport that everybody loves... It went into extra, well -- you know -- playing time. It was frickin awesome."

"I don't know, I was working last night - What the hell are you talking about? What sport? ****! What did I miss?"

"17 it. Nevermind. Watch sportscenter when you get home."

Go to any website and you get spoilers, ESPN, CNN, USATODAY, pick one...

It's pretty simple, if you don't want sports spoilers then don't come to a sports message board..... ********...

Federer is still fundamentally the best tennis player right now, Nadal just has the pure athleticism to edge him in certain situations. I think Nadal will win Wimbledon, but I hate to see Roddick out now cause this could have really opened up his bracket.

Tiger on the other hand has been mind<17> ed. Just look at some of his shots in the Open,12 year old's on the Coca-Cola tour have better approaches. He'll be back though.

Especially since this is a Mississippi State message board and the event is a tennis tournament in England. It's pretty damn easy to just not go to espn.com or whatever, but you don't typically expect to see pro tennis results in the titles on a Mississippi State message board.

Yeah, but how hard is it to just not post
spoilers in the title for mid-week day games?
For one person? Not hard at all. For a site with over 4000 members? I
wouldn't risk it.
