It sounds like the worst kept secret than when Owen freeman left the b-ball team and checked out at the end of the season with his injury. I’m not saying Raiola is the second coming but odds are Nebby isn’t finding a better player than him. Watching games you can see the talent is there but hasn’t put it all together. I think if he goes to a good program he could be really successful next year. But little ego check would also go a long way with the young man.
One of the rare cases I find a player so insufferable even if he is an upgrade I'd soon not have him at Iowa.

Coaching. A good coach would have sat Dylan in his office and had the simple conversation of high school is a good time to have idols. College is where good football players define their own identity. Put down the look alike garb and be your own man or at some point it is all you will ever be known as is a guy who couldn't be himself. Put film on and show him where he is as a player, what he needs to improve upon, and help him become Dylan Raiola. To let him put on a show for the years he was there did him nothing because he is a good quarterback. He was always looking for the wow play. Never coach that out of him but show him the better plays that he misses.
I think Nebraska will be just as good with Lateef who was a true freshmen.. btw Nebraska O-line sucked.. see MN game for number of sacks (9).. season; 27 for Nebraska vs 19 for Iowa as a comparison... Emmit Johnson is an elite running back and his production was not the O-line he had..
