Buying tickets at Hoover?

We have decided to follow the Dogs to Hoover for a game or two (big deal, I know). A few questions:
Can we just buy general admission tickets at the gate, or should we take the Ticker Master route?
I have heard parking is great, soul we worry about getting there early?
The entire second level of the field is General Admission? (Old fart, bad knees, can't stand whole game.)
Where to eat in Birmingham (quick food and better food)?
If you did two games, would you skip (Wednesday) game one? Don't mind watching the Dogs on TV, just want to see a game or two in person and can't do Omaha.

I assume getting regional tickets or supers in Starkville is not an option. True?

Thanks for your help..

Yes you can get them at the gate game by game. Iv'e been to 1 game that was near sell out and still got a seat. MSU and Ole Miss one of the years we both were loaded and in the championship game (State won BTW). The general admission gets you a seat. The good seats are not that much more $ than the GA. Also if I remember right. The second level isn't really a second level. If that makes sense ( probably doesn't ). You'll see. It's not bad
