I have very rarely seen a student section anywhere that DIDN'T have unusual and or douchey people in them.

To me, it looks like a bunch of college guys that are trying to ***** for camera time. And that's everywhere.

At Duke, it's the worst.

Probably wouldn't be crowd that I hung out with in college- check that, it wasn't the crowd that I hung out with in college- but to each his own, and I suspect it's like that across America, and not a MSU only "issue".

There used to be a couple hundred "rowdies" with most of them being normal, and only a few weirdos. Somebody on here pointed out that the Rowdies used to get first stab at student tickets, so there was an actual concrete benefit to being a Rowdy. Since the student section is never full anymore, this probably doesn't matter.

Rowdies are terrible and embarrassing. I went to the meetingfreshmen year (07) but then when I saw who was in it, I said screw it.

They don't get first stab at tickets anymore so there is no reason to be one unless you like standing by people who dress up. </p>

The mutants currently in the rowdies are embarrassing. Do they even get season tickets to all the games anymore?

I see this as another reason to get rid of Stans. We could instantly have a reason to disband the Ricks Rowdies and some normal people could start a new group.

I quit sitting there during my sophmore year, 06-07. I couldn't take listening to thosefools who had obviously never played basketball, but still felt the need to scream what they thought was advice or complain about a ref's correctcall. I don't mind people being loud, butI can not handleloud and stupid.

All the students I know feel this way. It is not even a shell of its former self. The Duke students aren't nearly as weird as ours... so you can't blame it on just these types of organizations. Whats your beef with the BSU Todd?

I just always thought it was a funny name for Rick's Rowdies.

Plus, it's unique. Unlike the other student sections across the country.
