For the record, sell. More like 15 or so. He started 9 games last year and threw for 9 TD's. I think he'll improve, but not by that much. Hope I'm wrong.

So given your near-complete lack of research, no I don't think Wes Carroll will have 20 TDs.

the most in one year for State was Madkin with 16. Then Don Smith with 15, Taite and Fant with 14, Shell with 13, and bunch with 11.

with our ****** offense there is no way hell we are going to throw 20.

So you're one of those dumbasses that thinks our starting QB that has a year of experience playing in the SEC under his belt, did damn good last year as a true freshman just off of shoulder surgery, and led us to 8 wins including a bowl victory, will be replaced by a 5 foot 10 guy that was in Juco last season?

Well next time you are watching practice open your eyes. Lee will not replace Carroll as the starter. It's incredibly absurd to even think that might happen. Just because you talked to some third string receiver that likes to toss the ball around with Lee while the real team practices, doesn't mean that he will replace our starting QB. Lee will get some plays as a change of pace type thing, but he won't be the starter unless Carroll gets hurt.

I knew we've never been a QB factory or anything, but I had no idea it was that bad.</p>

1. The game was a lot different even 10 years ago. There's more passing than ever in today's game. Even we threw the ball well over 40% of the time last year and were the most run-oriented team in the conference. With an experienced QB, I think we'll be a little less run-oriented this year.

2. There are 12 games in every season now and statistics from bowl games also count now. So Carroll gets a 9% or an 18% advantage over all those players from the past just because of that. He could theoretically throw 18 TDs and break the record by two and not really have a better year than Taite did.

No way in Hell Carroll passes for 20 TDs. Go look at the stats VH pulled. Do you realize just how ****** our QB history is? The only time we've ever had QBs comparable to other SEC starters had ****** teams around them. We are MState. Good QB + Good team simultaneously = NEVER HAPPENING.
