With Shrader? I know we win all the 8 drop games and maybe lose LSU. Shrader would shred the 8 drop and hell, even he can throw a Ten yard pass.

He’s a competitor and we need one.

Except that with Schrader they wouldn't drop 8. Might not drop 5.

No. But Schrader would have done more against a “normal” defense than we did in either of those games.

How could he be any worse than what we’ve seen from K.J. Costello the last two weeks. The INTs are killing us.

We’ve all seen Shrader play, and know he’s a hard nosed guy with some experience that played pretty well as a freshman last year. He’s accurate enough to make most of the throws needed in this offense. I think he’s our best option going forward.

He also brings an added asset of scrambling ability. He’d Be able to make something out of nothing when our OL lets guys go, which they are apt to do.

EDTA: I know that Leach is not playing Shrader at QB barring several injuries, but the move to WR doesn’t make sense to me. The guy was a 4 star QB. He can play the position, and has won games in the SEC as a quarterback.

I’m guessing Schrader looks all world in practice and leach just wants to go with his guy.

The only thing that makes sense.

Priority number 1, 2, and 3 to be a QB under Leach is quickly making smart decisions. I'm guessing that's where Shrader is lacking.

We'd lose to LSU and the other two wouldn't drop 8 so probably 0-3 with a WR at Qb.

The only thing we know is that Shrader made a few nice throws last year and he can run hard. We know that Costello has had a bad couple of games but he has also made some excellent throws on deep balls and sideline windows. Costello appears to have the better arm to me because he has made throws I have never seen from a MSU Bulldog.

Obviously we can’t accept continued turnovers but outside of those he has been pretty good. I’m not against any particular player taking the snaps but I trust coach to pick the best option for his offense. He has a history of doing so, regardless of loyalties or scholarship status.

Sell Sell Sell

Hard to play a game with 6 wide recievers and no QB.

Schrader is not and never will be an air Raid/Leach QB.
