I love the Butler program.

Even long before Brad Stevens, going back to the late 90s, I've loved how that little school always seems to play way above its head and consistently knocks off far bigger boys.

Even when they change coaches, they just keep doing it over and over and over for two decades now.

Excellent program under lots of coaches.

Butler has been the real Indiana University for the better part of a decade now.

One of my sports regrets was not going over to see Hinkle Fieldhouse when in Indy for the ‘97 FF.

CBS has Indiana 25, but ESPN ticker has Syracuse 25... guessing they use different rankings... anybody know which?

IU is good. Unfortunately - Archie is no Clappy. I’m sure Cal is happy considering he and the Millers are family...

Butler 2-2 from the line FOR THE GAME.

That's crazy. Butler given only two free throws the ENTIRE GAME, and in a very intense hard fought game that went down to the final shot?

When have you seen that before?

granted, fellow freshmen Phinisee is good

Yep, looks like IU found a steal in that Phinisee kid.

I don't know where he was rated in high school (never heard of him before this season), but that little dude can play. He's looked better than any of our five star guards so far this year.

Just looked him up. Most sites have him as a top 100 player - 4 star guard. He finished 2nd in MR. basketball behind Romeo - Kid is good

In the 60-95 range. Maybe that’s what we need. I was reading more about him

Honestly, I wish Cal would target a few more guys in that range.

Frustrates me when Cal leaves extra scholarships unused as he's done in recent years, when he instead could add someone in that range to provide depth, or maybe be a surprise steal.

Sometimes I think Cal won't do that simply because he thinks it'll damage his brand. He's known as the guy who only recruits the best of the best, and is afraid he might lose that reputation if he starts offering guys ranked below the Top 60.
