Just watched the episode with Scott and Trev. Trev seems like the perfect AD for Scott. Very hands on and supportive but wont interfere in the day to day. Will help Scott and keep his feet to the fire. Moos hands off approach can work when you hire a guy thats done it at that level a la Hoiberg. I think Trev understands Scott has some holes and he can help patch those up. 100% bought in on Trev and hoping he can help Frost turn it around.

I don't know, the thought that an AD can make a coach a better coach just doesn't make sense to me.

A good Administration can make a difference. If Frost was spending too much time on administration things and that cut into his time with the team, that would be an issue. Based on what Frost said at Big Ten media days and what Alberts has said since taking over, there appears to be some validity in that having taken place.

Yeah, maybe...but like a tiny tiny tiny difference at best. Once practice and games start, none of that **** the AD is doing matters.

Now, it might have been cutting into his time with the team, I don't know how, I would imagine he was still at all the practices and well all the games. But maybe it did, I don't know.

Some of the issues had tiny tiny differences from relative failure to relative success

A good leader can make those around them better. In fact, that is a big part of what makes them a good leader.

You can't look at it with just the tangible things like taking tasks off him or helping him get some additional time. There is much more to the intangibles. Just challenging people to look at things differently, come up with creative solutions, look within themselves to achieve more.

If you have ever been around poor leaders and great leaders it is easy to see.

Yeah, i get that I am just saying it won't make that big of a difference because we are dealing with a very tangible thing, wins and losses.

Losing close, in the long run, will cost frost his job, we know that.

I really enjoyed the pod. Will Compton did a nice job with them. Frost and Alberts were transparent and it was really refreshing to see. It’s clear they both want to honor Coach Devaney and Coach Osborne in continuing the hard work they put in for decades.

There’s nothing worse than an administration at odds in any industry, taking your time and energy away from your main desires and responsibilities, pressuring you into countless “ideas” and needing to schedule a bunch of BS meetings. If I was a betting man, I’d say that has been lifted off of Scott to a considerable degree. Sounds like Trev cleaned up house just a little bit, which it was long overdue. He’s off to a great start as the NU AD.
