As a Burns fan I don't think Hibriten s schedule is that soft. You can only play who is on the schedule. Hibriten has won some games impressively this year . None that matter s now what matters is what happens on the field next Friday.whocan play the cleanest game. Turnovers penalties can change a game. What Hibriten does on offense I think plays to the strength of our defense. We are better against the run than the pass, doe that mean we can stop them I don't know we will find that out.

I can't decide whether I wanna hit this game up or the East Lincoln rematch with West. I've seen both teams and seen the first matchup. Hadn't seen Burns all year so I hope I'm in for a treat lol. Since South is out of it I'd imagine some of them will be up at this game and Burns brings the faithful so I'm expecting a good gate.

Excited for this game. I've been to Hibriten during basketball playoffs but not football. I can't believe we've won 10 games this year. It's great to be somewhat relevant again. I think we'll be able to move the ball and score but I'm worried about our defense. Ordinary run games doesn't pose much of a problem for us. But the Wing T worries me. Does Hibriten have a big line?

Yeah pretty good size across the board. #63 Guard and Defensive tackle the Head coaches boy is going to Western.

BBB triple option football is always hard to defend. You have to play discipline football or assignment football. I feel the teams we have played so far will help us in this game . I know they are not on par with Hibriten but we have played central Cabarrus, Chase , Draughn and R S that have this form of offense . For the most part we stop there run game . The thing is they are going to get some plays on us but we need to get some stops and score our self's when we have the opportunity. If you look at the score s of there games they are scoring on about every possession they have the ball. That can't happen and us win this game. We have to get stops

Anybody can talk about Hibriten schedule. But Burns had to come from behind to beat RS Central. Kings Mtn beat Crest and there home already.
It's all about game planning. Catching some breaks. And staying healthy.

If Aaron Hill is 90% or better Friday and remains healthy throughout the game, Burns will be tough to stop. If not, Burns will likely have some trouble putting points on the board since they've had trouble throwing the ball down the field consistently.

With a healthy Hill, I give Burns the slight edge. Should be a good one.

What is the injury report for the Bulldogs Lawndog?
Matt lattimore , d line , hurt his knee but as has been mentioned we are in good shape. The week delay was good for aaron as witnessed by the show he put on Friday night .

Patsfball Prediction -

Playoff Experience - pretty close, Burns has the advantage

Coaching - Both are well coached. Overall, Lewis/Mackey
combo probably has advantage here.

Hibriten has home-field/fan advantage.

Both offenses are equally matched if Hill is 100%.

Defensively Hibriten has the edge.

Score - Hibriten 34
Burns 28

I m not so sure about the defensive edge you give Hibriten. Our defense has played pretty good all year and with Hibriten being a running team ,it s more to our strength. So having not seen them I will call it a tie

LOL. Nah, no tears for me this year. We have exceeded my expectations. Any win from here on out is a bonus in my books. The fact that some posters give us a shot against an undefeated team, on the road, in the second round of the playoffs is good for me.

I m going to defend our coach as well.although it's his first year back at Burns coach Devine is no stranger to the playoffs. He had many runs thru the playoffs with coach Greene as the D coordinator then he has 3 state titles as D coordinator at Shelby. Then you have coach Cogdell as the D coordinator and he has done a fantastic job the last 3years with the defense. Then you have coach Pack who has been learning under coach Beam for the last 6 or 7 years as the o coordinator . So I'm thinking advantage Burns .

Coach Devine and his crew i have great respect for , I said before and will say again bringing in the little league folks to get them " prepared " and on the same page meant a lot ... two out of the three youth league titles this past Saturday were by future Bulldogs .... didn't mean to hijack thread just wanted to say thanks to them for getting the little league involved again. Future is bright for those Bulldogs

Crying is what they do. Check out the North Forsyth thread. They cried before the game ever started.
Check the results of the conference coin flip. They cried because Crest drew a better seat. Chances are they are crying right now. Forest Gump just felt like running......Burns just feels likecry.

Raiders way don't you have some coaches to complain about. That's what you raider fans did most of the year

I rarely miss a scrimmage but had to miss SP vs Hibriten earlier this year. Wish I had better first hand knowledge, but my guess has been that they are good but record is inflated by weak competition. Burns certainly has a chance to prove that theory.

Can check almost every thread, the loyal posters here that have common sense on how sports work havent complained or cried a bit about the draw. We knew how it works. Should have beaten Crest if we wanted home field. Go sip some shine and share a straw with corndog

Rev just messing with you guys. Your guys are back and have enjoyed a good season. SP is playing with house money this year at this point. We are terribly young and growing pains contiune to be inevitable. Good luck to your Bulldogs the rest of the way.

I think the 2 weeks off and being huge favorites will be out of there system this week and they will actually play with some fire. Hibriten wins in convincing fashion.

This should be Hibriten's biggest test of the season. If Hib defense that stuffed West Caldwell and Maiden shows up, Burns is in trouble.

I'm feeling pretty hopefully about this game. We are a completely different team with a healthy Aaron Hill. He went off last week. This will definitly be a good game.

Comparing Burns to Maiden and WC is not accurate. Both Maiden and West Caldwell are above average 2A teams. Burns is an above average 3A team that has competed with Shelby, Kings Mtn, Crest and Huss, winning 2 of the 4. Both WC and Maiden are lead by QB's that like to run. Burns would would have beaten both them as well. Key for Burns is taking away the Hibriten fullback. Seen film of him and he is big and tough. If burns controls him, they win.

If our starting rb doesnt get hurt and our qb plays like he has in big games this year. I don't think it'll be good night.
