I'd like to brag on our offense but this Burns defense couldn't stop a nosebleed.

I'd say so. Record for points in a game is 71 from 2003 against Fred T. Foard if I'm not mistaken. Hard to do that these days with the running clock though.
That Foard team had no business being on the field with Crest. Would be a shame for this Burns team to be associated with them.
Charger 90210 you were right about the Chargers scoring tons of points. I thought NG had the worse defense I’ve seen this year but Burns is a close 2nd

Well this just caps my night. Just watched my Asu mountaineers get whipped by Georgia Southern 34-14 on TV. Then check on this score and see we gave up over 60 in a half. Good grief!!! But we got a wonderful coaching staff that really knows the game of football. Yeah Boy! I mean heck plenty of great coaching staffs give up over 40 points a blasted game. Bottom line either we got some coaching problems or we just have next to NO athletic talent right now at Burns High. Now some of you go ahead and flame me for saying this stuff if you want. I am just sick of this embarrassing junk.

Sorry but I do agree. Change is needed somewhere. I was told earlier this season that we hired too many buddies and not enough coaches.
You are not alone. Just finished a lengthy conversation with a parent. They feel change is needed.
Why don't you guys go volunteer? Truth of the matter, Burns is playing in one of the toughest 3a conferences in the state with 2a numbers...but if you're willing to put in the work, I bet that coaching staff would take you on
Most parents are stupid when it comes to the inner workings of a football team. Don’t listen to parents. Those same parents loved Devine and his staff last year.
I heard the same thing. However, from day one, it just looked like the talent on defense wasn't there. We definitely have playmakers on the offensive side. And remember, we only play a couple seniors. My only worry is that players quit or transfer. We are already low on numbers, we can't afford to lose that. If next year goes the same way, then yes, maybe a change is needed. But it's high school football, for most programs, there are rough patches, and we're in one of them.
Everyone has their opinion and that's what message boards are for but remember Devine was conference coach of the year in 2016.....he took a talented group that won 7 games in 2 years due to bad coaching and went 10-3 , second round of playoffs and ranked in the top 10 most of the year. These kids try as hard as they can but the talent is down at the moment. That's my thoughts but I can understand the other side and that folks are frustrated, however, I stand behind coach Devine 100 percent.
