I'll start this thing. How is Trashbrook this year? Who knows how we'll play this Friday? I guess we're due for our bad game since we played good enough to win last week.

I believe it will be exciting...with hurricane Flo being in the rear view a lot of people are anxious to get back to Friday night brawling....this one will go to the wire...best check the traction on those cleats with the ground being saturated....

Looks like Ashbrook is a pound on you and wear you down team. They are improved, but probably not as good as their record.

Very interesting game. Both teams run similar offenses. I am leaning Burns right now.

Was looking at Ashbrooks stats...
QB-Jaki Grier 122 yards rushing per game.
RB-Tyresse Nicholas 174 yards rushing per game.

Good thing is Burns has seen these kinds of teams but the problem has been they have struggled with these kind of teams. I'll take Burns in a close one that could see a lot of points scored.

Grier is 5-7 160 pounds. Nicholas is 5-9 170 pounds. Sounds like they can disappear behind a big OL and appear on the other side.

Ashbrook will do the same thing Alexander Central did. Pound, pound, pound. Eventually the Dogs will wear down and lose unless Pryor has another big game.

We have to be able to stay on the field on offense. That's what hurt us during the AC game. I think our offense is on the right track to do that.

Burns has trouble with teams that can line up and pound it down their throats... 35-21 Ashbrook

Do they have the same RB from last year? That kid could fly.

Pretty sure that kid graduated, British Brooks heard he had some college offers and I think he plays at UNC. Ashbrook like Crest has had a year to learn the new offense. They seem much improved from last year too but Burns has seen this offense before. I like the bulldogs chances in a close game.

Walked on at Carolina. That kid was a stud. Whose standing out for Burns so far? Those DT's for Ashbrook are no joke, look like a college team getting off the bus and they have a HUGE OT

I don't post much but I did see something Tuesday that may blow some peoples minds. So my son and I were watching the Dogs practice briefly before our mighty mites took the field at Burns. (Beat #3 14-0 by the way lol) I saw a group of players practicing. Yea that's right, they were working. I saw the coaches doing something too. They were Coaching. Not one coach on that team was over there saying "How can we go out there and be boring, predictable, allow a lot of rushing yards, allow a lot of points and not throw it near enough." They were busting their butts trying to prepare for Ashbrook. My point is that no coach has ever called a play to take a loss in yardage or a coverage that will allow the opposition to kick them in the teeth. They want to win, period. To finish non-conference 2-2 with both losses being to undefeated teams is pretty remarkable considering they have installed a new offense. Be patient and good things will come for these guys. Ashbrook is a good team, very physical but we can beat them if we play right and I think we will.

I think Burns keeps it close early and if we can get a big stop or turnover or 2 and move the ball well we will have a shot. The offense for Trashbrook and SP is always hard to stop, even when you get guys in the right place they still have to tackle and make the plays... our Veer offense only seems to click when we are playing a team that isnt as physical at the line. time to man up and beat somebody that can bully us.

Can’t put this one on the defense. They played their *** off and we’re on the field the entire second half. Had a ton of momentum at halftime with the late score. I don’t know what happened on offense but they came out flat and confused. Wonder how many penalty yards we had? Keep working.

Dang good call crestcharger on the score . We knew this could be a tough matchup for the Dogs and it proved to be so . Congrats to the brook and back to work for the Dogs .
Yea he nailed that. The bad thing is I agreed with the 42 for them but was hoping for 45 for us. lol

You can put this on the whole squad! Offense looked confused and out of sinc. 42 points are way too much to give up with the offense we run. How many points have we gave up straight up the middle??

The fake punt was the turning point I think. We all know what this blowout loss means though......next week is an impressive win. Go Dawgs!!!

The fake punt was the back breaker. The punter read the defense every time he punted. The fat Daddy's in the stands saw that early in the game. Why not attempt to rush the punter? Lawndog12 I think ol coach cod coaches that?

Gave up over 40 again. Outside of occasional miracles like last week you are going to lose every time you do that. How many big play touchdowns have we given up this season already?

Too damn many. Defensively I thought they played well in the first half . D only gave up 14 but the scoop and score hurt us. The second half the defense was on the field the whole time. I don’t think we had a first down in the third quarter. When we threw the ball it was bombs down the sidelines that were overthrown. QB was not on target but he’s young and it’s expected.
