Bunch had a good and bad play. Missed an opportunity to play more after his fumble. I have a hunch Bunch and Vedral will not play meaningful snaps the rest of their career. I like the 2 new QB recruits coming in the next 2 years to be a better 2nd string QB.

Verdral still has more of a upside being in the system longer...

We also can’t expect McCaffrey to perform like 2AM is doing this year.

a kid like mcCaffrey is going to have to see the field as a WR early in his career...save Vedral and Bunchie as serviceable backups who can win some games if need be...you can't expect a top qb recruit to come to NU and sit for 3 years...maybe play WR for a few and then come in as a redshirt junior but that is expecting a little too much.

IDK if I would consider Bunch a serviceable backup and I certainly don't think he can "win some games if need be". Vedral might not be able either from what we've seen this season.

That would all depend if 2AM was hurt and how well Vedral improves over the spring competing with McCaffrey.

Yeah, we don't have quality depth yet, and would like to see them take a transfer or another QB this year.

Heck, we don't even have a guy we can trust to run the game out..

If we would have followed that approach this year Gebbia would have been the starter and AM would have been a receiver or something.

Don’t make McCaffrey play another position. He is coming to play QB, keep him there in the event AM is unable to play. His older brother is Michigan’s backup... he came in at the end of our game and did well. Let him be a QB. That’s what he wants. That’s where he needs to play.

I think Noah changes positions next year, too good of a athlete to be sitting on the bench.

We need a good back up. Injuries happen and Martinez could leave after 3 years, leaving Vedral the starter when he’s a senior. If anything I’d move Bunchy to receiver.

I still like the idea of getting McCaffrey on the field if Martinez is healthy. You don't have to make him learn the entire offense at wr/rb.
