In essence, if every year, you hypothetically had these allocations of "stars", what positions would you "weight" as being more valuable/impactful in determining outcomes?

Obviously stars do not = potential/impact/skillset/etc, but in the modern game, there are some positions that have or can have a greater impact on determining outcome..

Which positions do you weight as most valuable, or which positions has a higher probability of determining Wins/Losses?

The complexities of "building" a roster as a perfectionist at work, I would absolutely have paralysis by analysis.. If in a positions like Saban at Bama, where he can pretty much build whatever roster he wants, finding symbiosis among skillsets, talent, attitude, leadership, intelligence.... There are so many factors in building a consistent roster that go far beyond stars, or a recruits film..

EX: skillset diversity, or certain players may do one thing extremely well, which compliments another recruits skillset that may offer a scheme to deploy..

Often, we as fans get caught up on recruiting rankings, stars, etc... WVU finally gaining some momentum here is great, but for an analytical coach like Brown, I would wager a months salary there are 100+ variables he's analyzing that we never see/hear/think of...

In order of importance.
QB
Edge rusher
D-Line
O-line (Center and blindside tackle particularly)
CB (particularly ones that can play man)
Remainder are all pretty close, but I personally think LB, RB, S, WR, and TE is the order of importance I prefer.

Despite all the bells and whistles of the game, defense and controlling the line of scrimmage still gives you the best chance to win. On offense a solid QB can make up for a lot of deficiencies where as stud RB's, TE's and WR's can't do as much for a deficient QB and O-line.
