I wonder how much is needed for phase II to start the Soccer and Lax complex. I know around $50 mil, was ear marked for the Wrestling/Bball practice facility. It's almost time to make another donation for this year, so 2057 coming soon.

We like donating to this fund the most, we know exactly where our money is going and can see tangible results. I can't wait for the Wrestling/Bball complex to be started. Every match as we pass by I'm going to tell my friends, "Yea I helped secure the funding for that".[laughing]

So you know when they start building the multipurpose practice center?
Construction for that should be around that time as well. I'm thinking we wait until after the spring semester is over, then start getting the cranes out.

It's already underway. On the side of the RAC where it is being built (by the media/band entrance) there are huge holes in the ground and they are laying pipe going from the RAC towards where the new building will stand.

@sct1111 we had the groundbreaking back in November. Hobbs said at that time it was not just ceremonial, it was the start of the project.

If you haven't donated yet or just want to donate more it's not too late to join up with a captain. The captain's program is still going on

Hoping people who are in tax season are realizing how great a deductible like donations are, especially when you can give them to causes like this and in return you get priority points!

Idk about the rest of you, but I am closing out my 5 year pledge amount early this spring and will pledge more again next year. Great progress for RU. We are catching up!
Every game Barnwell runs for over 100 yards you should have to make a huge donation lol!

To reiterate what the athletic department appears to be prioritizing, the Soccer/Lax training complex on Busch and the RWJBarnabas Health Performance (Multisport Training) Center next to the RAC on Livingston are priorities at this time due to timing of those projects in order to then get the football complex/Hale Center upgrade going thereafter.

Is it me or are donations to the build fund not moving as rapidly as they were last year? Its already March. This time last year i think we had at least $9-10 MM, no?

Of course not. Most people that donated did so under a multi year plan. The incremental is from the people that didn't participate at all last year.

They need to figure out a way to accept Venmo. Donations would skyrocket.

With respect, rutgers alumni need to stop finding excuses. Im just going to guess that We're not the only school that doesn't accept venmo. But we certainly are a school that struggles with donations.

Totally agree. So many CHEAP and LAZY people on this forum alone.
Im starting to think RU alumni just aren't that successful. We have the highest rate of accord and camry drivers of any board out there. Our car threads are hilarious.... lol
