That man was a stud. Remember him walking out for the coin toss couple years ago when it was below zero in a short sleeve shirt.

Great coach
I get sad - but are you allowed to be shocked if someone 95 dies

I'm so tired of hyperbole. Absolutely devastated? More like deeply saddened.

He was a great guy and a pretty darn good coach. I wish he could have gotten one

Was happy that the Vikings lost to my Raiders in SBXI. But yes, I wish Grant would have won one. Tarkington, Chuck Foreman, Mick Tingelhoff, Alan Paige, Carl Eller and the rest of the Purple People Eaters. What a time to be a Vikings fan. Not one of my teams, but they sure had some great squads back in the 70's. RIP Coach.

Probably not, but I remember seeing him do an interview not long ago and he still had a voice that would command an NFL locker room. He was a "young 95".

People completely forget that not only was he a HOF coach, but he also played in the NFL and NBA.

Honestly didn't know he was still alive. I wasn't around when he was coaching but always heard he was a hell of a coach. Wish he would have gotten a Lombardi (just not against my Steelers!) Anyways RIP

Those were some teams that were fun to watch! Rest in Peace, Coach.

Bud had an annual garage sale every year. I wish I could have bought some of his old stuff.

Not only a great coach, but an outstanding college athlete. He lettered 3 years in 3 different sports at the University of Minnesota. 9 varsity letters while in college, pretty impressive.

As a Rams fan starting from the sixties, I always knew my Rams would have their hands full playing against Bud's Vikings. I really expected one of Bud's team's to win a Super Bowl and I surprised they never did, great coach, great teams and great heart. Boy, I'm getting old but with age comes fond memories of the giants of the sporting world. R.I.P. Bud, well done.
