They are losing ground to the Celtics and their defense is horrid. They are all in this year.

He is literally dealing with a team where his entire starting line up has been injured at some point this season. Phil Jackson couldn’t win with this situation

That's true but Phil Jackson's situation probably wouldn't involve calling on poor shooters to shoot volume threes. Probably would've gotten thru to JJJ faster and made him more consistent. Probably wouldn't have cookie cutter substitution patterns. Probably would be able to take a dump correctly without having to reference analytics.

I dunno, maybe.

Memphis needs a lot of guys to get healthy. They need to swing a trade for a 3 and D guy. That's all true. But they also need to go get a basketball coach.
