Bubonic Plague in Colorado...

This is a perfect example of “news” fear-mongering. Yersinia pestis, the bacterium that causes plague is still around, particularly in the West near the four corners area and it is normally found in animals like squirrels or prairie dogs. Although rare, a few people in the US get infected every year. Treatable by antibiotics. You don’t test positive for bubonic plague, you are positive for Y. pestis. The bacteria may cause bubonic plague or other diseases.

This is not directed at you, it’s directed at a crap story going national and using misleading clickbait headlines & the fact most people don’t realize this is not uncommon.

Shut down Colorado and immediately exterminate all squirrels is the only answer to stop the spread of the plague. Close the borders don’t let anybody out of or into Colorado. This unacceptable. How did the governor of Colorado allow this to happen when he’s a Democrat?
