Huskers continue to put DUBS on the board so might as well keep this going....

Solid night, Huskers with a road win, I'm conflicted on the Mich loss, Boise St losing would have been a cherry on top. Choke job by New Mexico

2/7 Games

Teams in bold we could use a L out of Bubble Games

Maryland
@ Penn St- PSU -4...I'm thinking we need a Maryland win; They are a bubble team but we need them to be a solid win
LSU @ Florida- UF -8...Both on the bubble, take your pick.
Marquette @ Seton Hall- Hall -6.5
St Louis @ St Bonaventure - Bonnies -5.5
KSU @ Texas- Texas -5
Georgia @ Vandy- Vandy -3.5
A&M @ Auburn- Auburn -6.5
NC ST @ Va Tech- 5...take your pick. Both squarely on the bubble
Cal @ Colorado- Buffs -10

Not a good night for the Skers with the Bonnies/KSU/A&M/Marquette winning. We could have really used a Marquette/KSU loss. On the bright side, St Johns beat Nova which improved their RPI by 30 points. On the down side, it now counts as another tier 1 loss for the Huskers

They packed it in alright. Double barrel blast to Duke and Villanova.
Yeah St. John's has somehow risen from the dead. For two months they looked like they wouldn't win another game all year, then they go out and beat the two best teams on their schedule. Although, I don't think I've ever seen Villanova look so absolutely awful. There are probably 50-60 teams that would have beaten them Wednesday night, including the Huskers.

Some teams can do that to other teams with their style of play and IF your guards struggle with the physicality of the defense you're going to look awful.

Villanova lives and dies by the three ball. Also one of their best players was out last night with a concussion. 46% of their shots come from behind the arc...if you catch them on an "off" night they are ripe for the taking. Last night, they were 8-33 from deep. IMO they have the best PG in the nation though so they will likely make another deep run in the tourney.

True, but I didn't see the Johnnies doing anything particularly disruptive last night. Villanova looked like they just rolled out of bed and were playing a pickup game at the Y. The icing on the cake was when Nova finally played with some urgency and cut the lead to two with about 30 seconds left - and Omari Spellman proceeded to jack up yet another three. I think he had missed five in a row at that point, so I guess he thought he was due.

But, maybe now that St. John's has tasted victory a couple of times, they'll put together a few wins to close out the season. That probably won't do much for the Huskers' RPI, but it could make their "worst loss" a lot less glaring.

first 4 out today on espn. a 4-1 finish to get to 13-5 and finish 4th in the conf should be enough I would think.

This is what I’m hoping for.It would also help winning a game in the B1G tournament especially if were the 4th seed.

I know there are simulations and pundits that aren't quite sold on the overall resume, and I know they don't care what conference you come from, but if this team stays hot and wins 4 out of their last 5, which is really 8-1 to finish the regular season, I would hope this would be enough. The selection committee always looks for a team coming in hot and a good story, I find it hard to believe they will let computers override this special team.

I would take that. I think at this point, it will be a disappointment if we drop any of the remaining games at home. Would likely eliminate the chance at a "bad loss" in the Big 10 tournament as well assuming Mich wins their first game.

Actually playing in Dayton might be a good thing, given the Dead Week brought to you by one Jim Delany. Would be good to get back on the court.

So long as people don’t try to count a first four win as a NCAA tournament win....Nebraska needs to make the round of 32 and get the gorilla off the programs back

I see you’re point but the play in game would be considered their first NCAA tournament win let’s get that monkey off our back first.
