I thought your defense did an excellent job until they got tired. They were as good or better than advertised, much better than Vol fans gave them credit for. It's tough, and ever tougher in the heat when your on the field that much. Hopefully you guys will regroup and have another good run next year. I personally hope you guys can take out OSU! With some luck maybe we'll both get to meet again in the Playoffs!
Dave Revsine is a friend and former fraternity brother. He feels he really needs to bite his tongue on air to avoid perceptions of homerism. Did he make any comments?
In perspective it was still a great accomplishment as a season. It just ended badly.
We beat a Stanford team that will finish top 5, and beat 5 teams from 3 different power 5 conferences that have won their bowl games (it will be 6 if PSU wins their bowl).
We may drop in the polls significantly because of the blowout and because most of the teams behind us won their bowls, but we still deserve to be ranked based on that body of work.
Tennessee, surprisingly, only beat one power 5 team with a winning record (UGA, still up in the air whether they'll win their bowl or finish ranked). I'm not counting us because their vocal minority of fans don't think we are truly a ranked team, so they shouldn't use us on their resume.

Cool, I had the pleasure of working on the sports and news staffs at 'NUR for the first two years that Dave was there (I graduated in 89). He was amazing at what he does even back then. Me, not so much.
This wasn't his show though, it was The Final Drive. (Rick Pizzo/Glen Mason/Stanley Jackson). All had nothing but good things to say about us. The repeat of the segment will be on in a few minutes on BTN if you're interested.
You and I are in the same class! I think we won 8 games in 4 years.
