Just finished watching it. Lots of talk about great culture, Becht looking good and taking on leadership of whole team. Rojas ready to go, DT’s going to be huge going forward and recruiting that position will reflect that.

Side note, a little disappointed that when being interviewed, DC D’Anton Lynn was given a question from Revsine something to the effect of “you played for Coach Paterno and Tom Bradley, tell me about each of them and the impact they each had on you”…and he responded by only talking about Scrap and not mentioning Joe’s name at all.

He didn’t mention Joe’s name there or even when he was asked about why he came to Penn State out of high school.

Missed opportunity.

I'm not sold on D'AL as DC.

He seems rather entitled based on his father's pedigree. I wasn't all that impressed with his defenses, or lack thereof, at either UCLA or USC.

Campbell might have made a clunker hire

He raised the level of defensive play at UCLA & USC. I hope he improves the defense from last year's product.

he comes from the ravens tree, runs that same type of vic fangio style defense..Michigan wanted him badly and had to settle for Wink...his style works well, but it must have the ability to slow/stop the run game with a 6 man box, that's why he focused on bringing in heavy DT's..the other component is a solid secondary..when he spoke about communication, that's vital due to the amount of defensive rotation and switching at the snap...can be highly effective, but takes time to implement and leaks badly if you can't control the run game with a 6 man box..

I'm just not buying the hype................yet. ISU was a middle of the pack team in a weak conference. Those lads are now in the Big Ten so I'm going to wait and see.

The media has a tendency to hype things up. I'm not getting that vibe from the coaching staff. They realize they have some really strong positions and spots they need to shore up. Campbell brought over the majority of his best players from ISU. Couple those with the PSU talent, and other portal additions, the mix will be successful enough to go 9-3 and maybe even better. Still, "ifs" remain.

Have to wait until '27 you can't win a big game if you don't play a big game

I am feeling the same way. I hope I am wrong. Hopefully we will be over .500 at seasons end.

By the time they play Wisconsin, the starters and rotation should be clearer with of course some tweaks along the way. Wisconsin game will tell us much more about the team going forward. I'm looking for 3-0 OOC start and the ability to be sharp in the opening quarter, not like ladt years team, then make half time adjustments, and dominate the 2nd half of all OOC games. If those are evident then I will have confidence in the team going forward.
