  1. At the moment kind of hard to argue.
  2. Florida kicked our butts and just won on the road against a Georgia team we were lucky to beat on our home court.
  3. However, the assumption that nothing changes for the next month will prove Pearl correct. I would imagine every Kentucky fan is hoping that things do change.

I think we made them look really good because we didn't play at all. I honestly don't think they're all that. Their guards are ok, their front court is ok but I don't think they're close to us IF and When we decide to give 100% effort. I think their ceiling is a sweet 16 spot and that's being generous but that's just me.
I do know we have a nuclear warhead in the lineup if he decides to go off in the tourney and I'm not sure UF has a player that can take total control of a game. I'm glad to have him in our lineup.

The source.
LOL this is correct. UF could easily make the elite 8 but make no mistake they have no Monk or Fox and thus UK has to be a more favorite when it is all said and done . Not this second but when it matters.

Auburn doesn't play U.K. Again in the regular season?

Pearl should know better that there are no home games in the NCAAT unless U.K. Is within a state or two of Kentucky.

He should also know UF still has to come to Rupp.

Pearl is a hater.

It's hard to argue given UK's lackadaisical efforts on defense and inconsistent rebounding. UK has yet to show any true progression this season in my opinion outside of Gabriel. Monk can't rebound, Fox's three point shooting is atrocious, Bam's rebounding for his size and footwork is underwhelming, and Briscoe drives into three defenders and turns the ball over more often than not. With that said, still time to straighten some issues out, but UK has some glaring weaknesses heading into the tournament.

Good lord. Pearl is not a hater. Everything is not about U.K. The man gave his honest opinion. He has talked very positively about Kentucky in the past.

I think Florida is capable of going deep given a good path.

I think Uk is capable of a run if they can get a big man and play as a unit, maybe work zone because they arent good defenders.

Not hard to understand what Bruce is seeing. If UK was UK this year, he's be all over our sac.

I think Kentucky can play with anybody if we are playing like we can and I'm not sure Florida can. There are a lot of teams that look like they are world beaters when they play us. I don't think Florida is as good as they looked against us, they still have to go to Miss. State, Vandy and Kentucky and still play South Carolina, so we will see. Florida is a good team but when we play like we can, we are the team to beat, ask Carolina, either one of them. As for Pearl, he has waited years to say what he said, whether he believes what he said or not I don't know.

I would have been more impressed had Pearl said this when we were playing well and Florida wasn't being mentioned

I think Florida is the most likely team to make the eite 8. Don't see em getting further.

But I think the cats are the only team capable of playing into the final four... or out in the opening weekend.

Florida is steady solid. Kentucky is boom or bust. But the boom is loudest in the conference.

Man, I saw an entirely different scenario. I was at the UF game. Their few very good players, worked as a team, to embarrass several very good players. Their team defense is very sound, they have some good shooters, and they have some size, and most of all they have leadership and recently, only recently, have found their way as a team. I didn't see that at all from the Cats. I don't know if UF can sustain what we have seen lately, but if they do, they may have something. I do agree we have the talent, but this team has to "come together" to show case it. Part of that is playing harder, as you suggest, but time is marching on for us.
