They’re about to have their 12th head coach since the year 2000. The same franchise that fired Bill Belichick in the 90s. What complete and total disfunction.

If you're dumb enough to give a head coaching job to Freddie Kitchens, then you deserve to be terrible as a franchise. That's just negligence.

Lots of talent on that team. Maybe saban will take this chance to jump back in the NFL.

That seems like the logical choice but if you’re Dabo, do you leave clemson? You’ve got a cakewalk to the playoffs every year.

Yeah, I dunno. I see your point and it's valid. But there's a certain allure and prestige to coaching at Alabama.

I know if I were a coach at that level, I'd relish an opportunity to win big while playing in the SEC versus the ACC. I'd compare it to Calipari going to Kentucky. He had the machine rolling at Memphis and it was a lot easier to get some of those recruits in school there - so he had a pretty easy path every year, but he chose to go to a blue blood in a tougher conference because of the prestige associated with it.

6-10 isn't bad by Brown's standards. It would be like us firing a coach who won 8 games his first season.

Until you realize that the Browns are one of the more talented teams in the league.

If we had superior talent and only won 8 games with it we should fire our coach. Wait...

He forgot to tell management to pound sand, kick rocks and beat his in-state rival in the last game of the season.

They'll just hire Dabo and keep the train rolling.

Damn that makes me sick just thinking about that. I know Alabama will always be a good program but they need a bad hire after saban. They need a few bad years to bring them down to earth.

I agree that the path is not as easy in basketball....but his path to the tourney with a very high seed was much easier at Memphis than it was at Kentucky. He had a machine built at Memphis. Remember that he had Derrick Wall and DeMarcus Cousins coming in before he took the Kentucky job.

When he was on Croom’s staff, he was a regular

for Happy Hour at Mexico Tipico, and 15 years later he’s head coach of the Cleveland Browns!

That’s a long time to reach rock bottom!

Well, the Browns brought in AB 2.0 and took a hot-headed, overrated midget for a QB, annnnd hires Freddie Kitchens. That team is going nowhere.

Typing on an iPhone made my comment completely clear fusing. I meant Cal had not already won national titles at Memphis like Dabo has at Clemson. Clemson football is still major conference football when’re Memphis basketball was not. That is where it is hard to compare the two. I’m not sure why he would leave the set up he has at Clemson where he is almost guaranteed a spot in the playoffs to cone deal with the SEC west and be the one to follow Saban.
