Keep an eye on Brooks. He’s getting better every game. He is starting to learn his role and his limitations.
It appears to me like it's becoming instinctual for him as time goes by. He’s going to be really good by March, that’s my prediction.

I love veteran players.

Yeah, Brooks is one who has worked to get better and find his role on this team. He carried us in the last game when we were struggling a bit. Kudos to him for sticking around!

He was fantastic today. Loved to see that effort from him. Made good plays on D, played within himself on O. Just an all-around great game from him. That's exactly what we need from him.

I agree I have been hard on him he still makes some mistakes but they all do. I do agree with you he is coming around to learning what his role is on this team and has played hard the last couple of games.

If he can stay consistent that will be great! UK has so many weapons, many ways to hurt you with!

i’ve been hard on Brooks as well this year and glad to see him turning it around. The proof he’s made the turn will be in the next couple of months during a tough SEC schedule.

Thought the same thing on the way home from the game. He has looked stronger and stronger in the past few games and is becoming very important to our possible success. Like the advancements we've been seeing in him and he now seems to be a guy we can count on. Also, he is helping out Oscar on the boards making it even tougher inside on other teams. Love to see him keep going upward in upcoming games. Tuesday against LSU is going to be a big night for us to see just where we are.

He's clearly the kind of kid that needed PT to get his confidence and figure his role out. Practice only prepares you so much before you have to do it under the lights. He's getting there.

Having said that he needs to quit trying to play like Sarr looking for 15 footers. Sure take them at times, but I'd like to see him tearing down rebounds and dunking on fools more. Need he and Toppin to be a lob threat because Oscar doesn't have the hops. Then you can hit that mid range when you get open in the middle on occasion.

He just needs to bring the energy EVERY game. He also needs to stay away from the 3 point line. He has looked very good the last two games and can be a difference maker if he keeps it up.

He has shown flashes all season. Ya he had some bad turnovers early, but that’s growing pains IMO. Dude is gonna be good, im really loving where we’re headed

He doesn't have terrible hops at his weight. But not explosive and he works so hard every play his legs probably won't last for Oops all day long. Love our MATB

Proud of Brooks these last two games. Looked a little like Darius out there today with the energy and I especially noticed he was more active on defense. We need this version of him the rest of the year.

Brooks is a guy who if he realizes he’s the 5th best player on the court, and scraps like he has a role to play and has to earn all his minutes, he can be important to us.

Nice to see that lately, and I agree that having Toppin nipping at his heels has been a good thing.

He's bringing rebounding, that smooth midrange jumper, and the occasional poster dunk. And that's just fine.

Honestly he's become sneaky good in the rebounding department. It's overshadowed by Oscar, obviously.

I agree with you. In the beginning, I'll admit I wasn't too thrilled with Brooks. Never could quite put my finger on it. But I gotta say, I am really becoming impressed with this young man. Looking forward to seeing him play more and more.

The best thing about Brooks’ play is he’s becoming pretty steady and reliable. His mistakes/turnovers have dropped and he’s being much more aggressive around the basket. He’s never going to be a superstar, but he will be a very important piece on this team if it gets where we want it to. He’s been taking some of the interior scoring load off of Oscar. I especially like how he’s been cutting to the basket looking for a pass and to score. I don’t mind the occasional midrange jump shot, but I’m glad he’s doing more than that lately. Good for him.

I’ve mentioned this recently, but I’ve remained bullish about Brooks all year. He’s not elite at any one thing, but the overall versatility he brings at a solid or above average level makes him such an important glue guy.

I know “glue guy” can get thrown around a lot (Darius Miller was exclusively referred to as such by commentators) but his utility makes him a true glue guy. We shouldn’t expect to rely on him to win games, but a good game by him makes a victory exponentially more likely due to the overall strength of the team.
