Nice! I love it when UK gets guys from Indiana. It’s got to piss them off. And we’ve gotten a bunch haven’t we?

This IU fan at bingo tonight was like Keion picked UK, what a bad decision. He could have been a legend but he won’t even play at UK!” I was like so he good enough to be a big ten legend but not play at UK? She was like trace Jackson Davis is better anyway. I said how convienent that he chose IU then right ?

Evidently you have not seen the kid play. If you have then you don't know how to evaluate talent.

He usually has a decent read on players,I don’t really see a problem with that evaluation. In college he will play a hybrid but I think he has the potential to start if he hits the weights. He’s a jack of all trades kinda guy.

Evans acts like Jaden is still a target. I can see Hurt but not Jaden now.

How TF we third with three top guys and two top ten players? Plus we have Allen who is a great four star. Our average is 4.75 sorry just because you have two more commits don’t mean it’s better. Quality over quantity.

Still didn't really answer my question lol. What class is he in? I can't find him on Rivals. He's 6'8 right?

I thought Allen was a 2 and Whitney is a 3? But Herro will be the starting 2 if he comes back?

2019 and Allen is hurt. Hopefully he will be recovered in time but we could start both Whitney and Brooks if need be. Two versatile wings. Both five stars. If we can get Herro to stay we will be stacked next year.

Hell yeah, awesome pickup! I'll admit, I'm not that familiar with his game. I think that Cal guy knows a little about what he's doing, so I'll trust his judgment. [winking]He's phenomenal at talent evaluation and talent development.

I don't even worry about recruiting anymore, and haven't since 2009. I think all UK fans would be smart to follow suit. I believe this is the year we take back over in recruiting. IMO, we eventually end up with the overall #1 class again, doing so by a pretty significant margin. Looks like recruiting is coming back around full circle to where it should be, with Cal/UK being the coach/program to beat again.

We are so lucky to have Cal. Overall, IMO, he's the best coach in the country. I wouldn't trade him for any other coach in college ball. Absolutely blows my mind how a section of our fans act about our coach. All the Cal haters will wish we had him back when he hangs it up and retires. Smh, fools!

Herro ain't staying . Hagans has a better chance to but I doubt that . No matter we still be stacked as Maxey /Whitney/Allen/Brooks/Quick/Baker is the best back court in the country ( if you include SF as backcourt) We just gotta add Mcdaniels and find another big in recruiting and or grad transfer to back him up. Our centers are set with EJ and Richards.

I don’t think Herro will stay but that won’t stop me from hoping. He’s the player I most want back ever . He’s the perfect college player for us.

“Just his work ethic,” Holmes said. “Every single day, he comes to practice ready to work, ready to get better. He receives coaching, takes coaching, wants to know what he needs to do better to not only help his his game get better but help the team get better.”

That group looks tailor-made to run the DDMO like Cal did in his Memphis days.

I'd say Maxey and Quickley start together in the backcourt, giving us essentially two PGs. Baker backs them up. Cal usually doesn't play a deep guard rotation. Maxey and Quickley will get around 30mpg, with the rest going to Baker. A returning Hagans (not likely) would be even better. Cal might go with 3 guards starting in that case.

Then we have Whitney, Brooks, and Allen on the wings. Baker can play the 3 in a small ball lineup as well.

Montgomery and Richards inside.

Ideally, we need to add at least one of McDaniels, Hurt, Todd, or Dante to bolster the frontcourt.

Goes left and shoots left when needed, nice touch on pull ups, nice outside shot, active defensively, competitive, team player, great attitude, great length, good passer. What's not to like!

He's not the difference maker we need next year considering everyone we're gonna lose. Unless Herro comes back, Maxey is probably the only elite guy we have on the roster. I just don't see Whitney being that great offensively. Next year is shaping up like the Ulis Murray and Shai Knox teams.

Good pickup, but at this point Cal is recruiting just to keep us competitive. Which is a different thing than recruiting to compete for a championship. It's impossible to know how good we will be next year. We will likely lose our entire starting five, which is absurd, but it's Kentucky basketball. Teams like Nova and UNC would have Herro and Hagans for 3 years. There's nothing to suggest, at this point, that next year's UK team will be elite. Right now with everyone we're losing it will be one big question mark. The good thing is that next year's team should not have any grand expectations to start the year.

6-7 185 pound wing forward, 2019 class. Had a fine senior season at La Luminere high school. Solid scorer at midrange, and a good (not elite) outside shooter. Our fans should be realistic about Brooks. He isn't a baseline player, and he probably isn't OAD. Brooks is a fine player, but not a game changing commitment for us. We need a couple of true baseline players because Travis and Washington are gone, and it is impossible to know what Richards is thinking about playing 10-15 minutes a game.

We will not lose our entire starting 5, but we probably lose 4 of them. Hagans is not playing well enough to get drafted, and Calipari has actually been using Quickley more and more in recent games. FWIW, though, I agree with most of what you said.

I'm hoping we get Hagans back and a big to reclassify.

I think that is realistic.

Dante would be my guess to reclass.

Return- Hagans, Quickley, Baker, Montgomery, and Richards
Add- Maxey, Allen, Whitney, Brooks, and Dante.

G Hagans/Quickley
G Maxey/Baker
F Whitney/Allen
F Montgomery/Brooks
F Richards/Dante

That's a contender, IMHO.

And you are not competitive with other posters on this board. They are so much better than you. There is nothing to suggest that next year you will be any better,
