Brooks impressed me today by playing within himself, and also the effort was there defensively. He was quick to get back and communicate on defense and that is really refreshing to see. He was dialed in and giving max effort all game. There were a couple times he got into the lane and kicked it back out for open looks that Grady buried. The old Brooks would have committed an offensive foul or thrown up a dumb shot. Was great to see him make the right decisions on the fly. The touch pass for Grady’s first trey was a thing of beauty.

Brooks is trying very hard to be a better player and a TEAM player, and that’s enough for this fan!!

Second game in a row now.

He's 5-18 on the season. Getting better.

Shouldn't have taken that 18 footer on the baseline though, he was a pump fake away from driving for a dunk. I guess he's a little too comfortable with that shot but as long as he keeps making it...
I’d rather him take the jumper than drive. He can make the jumper, but turns it over more times than not when he drives.

Telling you, this is what we need. I hope he takes 1 or 2 every game. If he makes 1 or both of them, take another.

Getting good 3 point shooting out of our 4 spot will take UK to another level.

I keep hearing that, but he's only had 2 turnovers in his last 6 games and none of them were while driving the ball.
One of his turnovers today was when he traveled because he forgot to dribble. He is not a good ball handler. He is making better decisions overall, though. He is most dangerous shooting the ball, not driving it. He is playing much better basketball now than he was a few weeks back, I’ll give him that.

Brooks is getting better. Maybe he’s having his Nick Richards breakthrough?

He also drove his man to the paint and put up a 10 footer inside the elbow. I've seen him post up and hit a turnaround twice in a game. The guy isn't perfect but he's no bum handling the ball either.

If the guards and 5 are going to be so dominant every game, we really don't need that much from the 4 except for defending.

There was a time when I could tell my wife “Keon is gonna do…”. Usually shoot it no matter if all 5 of the other team guarded him. He was extremely predictable. These last few games he has seemed to actua look around him and react. His passing is better, his shooting is better, and he gets some rebounds.

I hope his growth continues.

The kick out to Grady was a highlight of the game for me for the reason you spelled out. Thought he was on his way to his usual charge. Love seeing this team turn the corner.

One thing we know as the season goes along, Cal sets boundaries for everyone so they stay within their self and what helps the team. Keion does an excellent job of unclogging the middle for Oscar with his range.

I like him shooting the 15 footer but 18 or so I'm not a fan of. He has good form so as long as he takes good open 3s and only a couple at most I'm fine with him shooting 3s. Just don't fall in love with them, hustle plays and rebounds should be his main focus.

Like I said, he is making improvements. I hope he continues to improve, but he is still not a good ball handler.
