I think it's pretty clear that Fangio isn't the problem with that organization. The Vikings may be next to make a move.
Elway's tenure as part-time GM/full-time local celebrity is what unraveled the Broncos. He had a penchant for terrible draft picks, especially at QB, and failed to retain several reasonably priced players (like Shaq Barrett) who were more valuable than he gave them credit for. Fortunately for the Broncos, Elway is more or less out the picture now and a new GM is in place. Whether he's up to the task of fixing this shitshow remains to be seen, but at least he seems to take the job seriously.

Fangio was in way over his head. He's a great DC, but he's no HC. Just last week week he waited 31 seconds before deciding to call a timeout when he needed to save time at the end of the game. He should have fired Shurmur and the special teams coach, but he didn't. Yesterday he decided to kick a field goal rather go for it late in the game when would would be lucky to get the ball back (We didn't).

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
